  84. Please accept my apologies, but I was moved by the story.  (Here's where you
  85. can delete if you wish)  I guess if I were to chime in, I'd have to say that
  86. I, too met Chuck Heston.  It was sometime in the late 70s when his book "An
  87. Actor's Life" came out.  It was at a book signing in Chicago.  I was a
  88. starving college student at the time and couldn't afford the book.  But I
  89. really wanted to meet him.  This pre-dates his Bill Tyler role that we all
  90. know, and at the time my favorite role of his was Michaelangelo in the
  91. "Agony and the Ecstasy."  I stood around for quite some time taking pictures
  92. of him as each fan walked up to his table and greeted him, all the while
  93. waiting for some goon "doing his job" asked me to leave.  After a while
  94. Chuck noticed me.  He waved and gestured.  I took that as a good sign and
  95. walked on over to shake his hand.  He had a firm but gentle grip.  He is a
  96. big man.  We exchanged pleasantries for a few seconds, while I thought about
  97. the long line that was waiting.  He was very kind and as I parted he gave me
  98. a smile and waved once again.  As I left I thought "He's one of the few who
  99. marched beside Martin Luther King in the early days before it became
  100. fashionable.  He stands for everyone's rights."  One of the biggest names on
  101. the planet, yet he still makes time for the little guy.  That's Chuck
  102. Heston.  I still have the pictures.
