  40.     I don't know what process you are looking for, Barney. Others are =
  41. sure to jump in with ways to restore lanolin and etc.
  42.     But I have always had good luck with just plain washing. I use a =
  43. product called Sport Wash that I get at Wal-Mart. Just machine wash warm =
  44. and rinse cold. Some will scream at this, but I dry in the auto dryer at =
  45. low temp. Never had a problem with shrinkage or any negative effects. =
  46. Blankets come out soft, fluffier ("fuller"?) and definately warmer. =
  47. Colors also seem restored. Other products, like Woolite may do as well =
  48. but I have only tried the Sport Wash.

  121. Sorry it took so long to respond, but I only look at the list a coupla 
  122. times a week.

  124. DO NOT I say again, DO NOT cut an arrow shelf into a self bow. Can, and
  125. often does cause 'em to break at the shelf.

  127. Make an arrow rest by gluing two or three thick pieces of leather back to back
  128. until they are 3/8 -1/2 thick and from 1/2 inch  or so wide by maybe 1 to
  129. 1 1/2 inches long,  flatten the leather where the arrow will rest, taper to 
  130. blend
  131. in the handle and re-wrap the handle with leather.

  133. Make or buy an arm guard and tab, or even a glove and you're set.

  174. bit loose....sagging and I would like a recipe for waterproofing with linseed 
  175. oil, I know that pure linseed oil takes time to dry, what can be mixed  it 
  176. and what portions should it be mixed with for it to dry in half the time..? 
  177. hope all this makes sense.

  263. imagine you'd have to use a good flux to make the solder or tin stick. I'd
  264. also scuff up the cup tin first too. I would think lead free solder would
  265. work as it's safe for drinking water pipes, it just might get more
  266. expensive than bulk tin. Preheating of metals before soldering or brazing
  267. is standard procedure. I'd certainly use my least favorite cup first. I'd
  268. also use a respirator or prevailing winds to your advantage as molten tin
  269. vapors can't be good for you.
  270.       My very nice tinned cup, purchased at Fort Union before they got
  271. cheaper ones, is tinned on the inside and looks like it was simply rolled
  272. around with molten tin inside it. The outside looks like it was dipped
  273. only deep enough to seal the bottom.
  274.       I'd sure like to know what you find out about it or how your
  275. experimental tinning goes, especially if you use pure tin. I don't think
  276. the tinners are giving any of their secrets away! Hope I didn't give you
  277. any advice you already knew. Soldering is one way primitive people can fix
  278. a lot of gear. A welder friend of mine even brazed the broken cast iron
  279. jaw of a Newhouse trap back together!
  280.       A good welder can weld anything but a broken heart! (punchline

  310. collection of horns, hides, etc in Seattle Washington. I just 
  311. reviewed the items by photos he sent me to give him an idea of
