I got a note from amm1585@hyperusa.com entitled "Teminated" I'm not sure who
amm1585 is or what the note said, because I couldn't open the attachment, so
thinking it may have been a virus.
But then mebbe I've been kicked off the Lists.....which has happened before.
Something about my "bad attitude".... <G>

Magpie, I think AMM1584 is Lanney's newest eMail, but I wouldn't swear to it.
Your mail came through fine! Best to you and yours, Barney

I just seen Lanney yesterday over to Pinedale, Wyoming at the Museum of the
Mountain Men. He was about arm pit deep with school kids and for Lanney
that's a mess of kids! There was Twenty 28 AMM brothers there from all over
doing demos for the school kids. Allen and I went over to put the finishing
touches on the AMM display for this year. Them boys got showed first hand why
they called that Fort of Bonneville's, Fort Nonsense. Tuesday they got about
four inches of snow dumped on them in true Pinedale fashion, side ways! The
wind was blowing so hard when Allen & I got there the snow was all most all
gone, must have got all blowed off the East some where's. The Coyote in me
tried to help them out so I told Coyote legends to the kids before we left.
For you that don't know the telling of Coyote legend should only be done in
the winter for telling them at this time of year will only bring snow and bad
weather. (B.G.)
Any way I don't think the Email came from Lanney cause he ain't home.
See on the trail

Magpie, That address (AMM1585@hyperusa.net) is definitely Lanney's... You
might want to let him know that you got that spurious eMail so he can check
to see if someone was on his account, he got a bug, etc. Barn

The Klez worm has the ability to spoof the "From" address and send
e-mails. It plows through the address book on an infected computer and
uses the addresses it finds for To: and From: which is causing a lot of

Again: you missed my point from my last posting:
>> The address of an e-mail that you received with a virus now indicates NOTHING. The Klez Worm spoofs the From: address with an address picked at random from an address book. Just because someone got a post that appeared to be from Lanney ... it did not come from Lanney. It came from someone else who had Lanney's old address in their address book. <<
There, did that 'splain it?
Nuff said?
