Hello everybody,
A quick note to introduce myself as a new member. I notice from browsing
thru the archives that there are a couple of other MWH fans in the UK, so
especial greetings to you folks.
My "How I Learned To Love MWH" story would be, listening to the radio in
around 1981 and hearing the most amazing-sounding record - and in the middle
of the track, the DJ corrected it to play it at the right speed! I swear
it's true! Turned out to be Safety Dance and the rest, of course, is
mystery.
Also from checking out the archives, some months ago, somebody asked if
there ever had been an MWH hat. Well, the answer to that question is
definitely yes. As a massive fan I used to pester the poor people at the
Statik Records office in London, who must have got totally sick of it... but
anyway, they used to send me bits and pieces of stuff to calm me down from
time to time. One bit of merchandise was a sky blue sun-hat, with the logo
in darker blue at the front. To be honest it was rather unpleasant (!), but
this is 100% true...
At around the same time I also recall the FOTE album being released with
stickers on the front suggesting that I Know Their Name and Unsatisfaction
were likely to be singles... shame about IKTN in particular, very very
under-rated...
Mike

I have recently posted my version of I Got the Message on the cover
project page. Sorry if I have stepped on any feet by doing this cover. I
did not see the initial list of artists doing particular songs. Hope
everyone enjoys what I have submitted. Please feel free to email me with
your comments.
I must admit I am quite impressed with what people have created so far.
Keep up the good work!!!

I just wanted to let you know that I've listened to all the covers that
have been posted on the web site, and I'm impressed! I wish I had the
musical talent that I've been hearing from you guys! I play the saxophone,
but that doesn't make a good cover without something to back it. And,
no, I don't think I could play the saxophone part that you hear in "Editions
of You."
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to the next covers to be posted!
Steve
