** DELURKING **
Hi, just announcing that I'm currently working on a cover of "The Great
Ones Remember" for the tribute collection. Hope this is okay with
everyone. I should have something to put on Richard's site within a
week or two. (if all goes according to plan)
Well, back to recording...

Subject: (hats) Telephone Calls
I've had a few calls on my caller I.D. from Alberta, Canada in the last
two days. The person making them didn't leave a message on my machine
nor did they answer when I called back after I got home from work.
I don't personally know anyone from Canada, so I'm assuming that the
caller is from this list. For that person I should let it be known that
I'll be home tomorrow until about 3:00 P.M. and then I'm leaving to go
out of town for a week so hopefully you'll call again before then.
Thanks to whomever,
Tony

Subject: (hats) Tribute Update 6/26
Once again folks (of the eighties). Here is an update on what is up with
the tribute.
The tracklisting is currently:
Where do the boys go?------------- performed by Flat Stanley
Life After Diamond Head -----------performed by Lord Hasenpfeffer
I Got The Message ----------------performed by Mike Azevedo
Eurotheme --------------------------performed by the Manatees
The Safety Dance ------------------performed by Tony Reed
Security ----------------------------performed by Glacid
The Great Ones Remember---------performed by Steven-enz
I'm In Love-------------------------performed by Johan Hindstrom
and perhaps...
Unsatisfaction----------------------performed by Johan Hindstrom
I'm still waiting to hear from the other previous contributors, but we
have enough for a full-length album now with more people to confirm yet.
These are the original contributors who haven't confirmed yet....
Messiahs Die Young ----------------performed by Esthello band
Not For Tears ----------------------performed bye Angie
No Dancing ------------------------performed by Dale A. Plantz
Modern[e] Dancing -----------------performed by The Holy Terrors
So you see, it looks like it will be a full project after all. If any of
these four bands want to continue having the claim to their song they
MUST contact me before 5:00 A.M. Monday morning or I will make their
song available.
As always. Any submissions for any songs not listed above can email me
privately and I will hold the song for you.
I will set a submission deadline in the next couple weeks.
I'm looking forward to finishing this.

I would like to contribute to the cover CD as well. My problem is I am not
very musically inclined. I can mimic fairly...but I'm not that great.
Is there someone out there willing to team up with me on doing a cover of
"Things in my Life"?
Along this same line of reasoning, I want to start a new thread into the
list. Your memory meets MWH song. e.g....
Things in My Life. It's my favorite Hats song. However, it also means a
great deal to me. The lyrics seem to "fit" my life. Just about everyone
has a song like this. Open up - explain why. In TiML, Ivan sings about
how there are things he never remember, things he will never forget. This
line is one of those "well, duh!" type lines, but it means
something. There are always things about the love of my [short] life that
I will remember...some good/bad times...but there are some things I never
can conjure up and remember. And I regret that. I want to remember
everything about her. There are things I will cherish forever (my time
with her) And there are things I will alwyas regret (I cheated on her
once...and still hate myself for it.). I will also always remember another
girl I dated...and I regret putting the amount of trust I did in her. But
I will always cherish my experience with that girl. I've never been to
Scotland, but I wonder if I'll ever fall in love again. Usually when I am
alone on those grizzly Sundays, I think abotu that. I have another
girlfriend...but will I ever love a girl again liek I did the first
one? Who knows. I remember a line in a Star Trek TNG episode "...you'll
never love another quite the same again [like your first love]". Makes me
wonder. And we can never remember the things we always forget...the good
things when things go south. Ever notice that? Maybe it's just me.
Whenever things went bad with that love of mine, I always saw ALL the bad
things in her. Now I can barely see any of them. And no matter how many
mementos I have, or how many things I hear about her, I can't get her out
of my mind, and I can't stop loving her to the point of anguish.
I dunno. I am a strong believer in the act of venting. We're not really
big strangers to each other, but we're also not a part of some big
clic. Open up - let lose. Show your Hats pride -=)
Or maybe I'm just foolish...I tend to like bombs, even though sometimes
they tend to scare me half to death.
Aaron

Hi all
As I am fairly new to the list this may be old hat (geddit?) but I
came across an EP on March records by Barcelona which contains a
cover of Pop Goes The World. Anyone else know about it/them?
