Alan,
I'm not pissed off about anything.
Stefan's actions don't bother me. It's the way in which Stefan
chose to implement them that does. He was rather rude and has so
far to my knowledge has not apologized for his nasty tone.
He didn't have to behave in such a manner in order to get
Richard to comply with his wishes.
The source for the RoY/Fot80sIII demos has never been revealed
to me either. The whole premise surrounding them was that the
source not be revealed. Why, I have no idea. So, I cannot assume
that Stefan deserves credit for those recordings being in my
personal collection - nor Ivan. It would make sense if that were
the case, however, I cannot prove it one way or the other.
Meanwhile, I simply do not approve of Stefan's tactics and as much
as I'd like to, I no longer do for the members of this list what I
used to do in order to see that they receive the recordings they seek.
(And, believe me, I used to do a *lot* for the members of this list
in a totally discreet, behind-the-scenes way.) I also have a track
to submit to the covers project but have opted to boycott it as well
as long as Stefan stays on his course.
If your take is correct, and I would hope that it is, I need to hear
it from Stefan directly and not from some third-party intermediary.

I put that down at the time as English not being his first language, but
having read his web site, I'm of the opinion he's not much of a writer, at
first I thought it was some of Dark humour that eluded me. Howver having
read his web site I gather that they are pissed of over royalities, he
alleges that Oglio never paid the royalties owed. But yes he was rude. I'm
sure he comes across better face to face.

Thats just silly.

Well, you know, we're not so assholic on this list that we wouldn't
mind working with them on that if they requested our cooperation.
We seem to be a rather honest and enthusiastic bunch when we're allowed
to be.

Is that true, Carl?

Thank you for agreeing with me on that point.

He seemed rather distant and removed when I met him.
I don't recall him being rude or anything but he wasn't
exactly friendly either. More neutral than anything.
Ivan, on the other hand, was very kewl and friendly.
He didn't seem to have a whole lot to say either, but
he was very polite and prone to minging and physical
interaction. (mingling, sorry.)

I happen to love Altered Images, precisely because of her squeaky voice.
So not only can I sit through one album, I can sit through all of them in
a row.
And yet Bjork's voice annoys the hell out of me. Strange. The one that I
absolutely can't stand to listen to is the singer from the Cranberries.

Hi Hatters in the UK!
Well, we're getting ready to cross the big pond! We'll be landing
Friday morning!! Woo hoo!!
How about dinner one night? Or going to Speakers Corner on May
7th to get on a soap box and tellwhy MWH is the greatest band
ever??
Would a Hatter in the UK like to be the "social chair" to organize,
then I can just tell that person what hotel we'll be staying in instead
of broadcasting it over the list...
Hope to see you soon!
