Subject: (hats) re: Song I would change
Hi all!
Ralf Krauklis wrote:
:) I too would like to experiment a bit with "Mother's Opinion". I like
:) the way it reaches a climax with those pitch-shifting backup vocals

:) fury of an orchestra crashed down on the mix along with a dozen kettle
:) drums fortifying that hypnotic beat; hundreds, thousands of instruments
:) chanting that droning melody...
I, too, thought of MO first. And this really sounds a great concept. Only
we'd have to extend the all-silent mid-section to about, say five minutes,
and towards the end of the song, the volume would have to go up until the
music blows your house away, no matter how much you turn the volume on
your stereo down. (Beyond a critical point you wouldn't be able to turn
your stereo off, as well. -- Anyone knows "Black Hit Of Space" by The
Human League? ... it got to number one, then into minus figures ... ;-)
Now, who is going to do the remix?

:) On the Folk Of The 80's Part III LP I would have re-mixed "Mother's Opinion"
:) to be a little bit faster and a little more melodic ... maybe cut out some of
:) that heavy background noise and brought up the piano.
CUT OUT THE HEAVY BACKGROUND NOISE??? Oops, you mean stretch the silent
part all over the song?? You could then have it fade directly into a
remix version of "Where Did The Fun Go?" ... just kidding! ;-)
At this point, I wanted to complain about not being on Laura's list, but
Mike was first. That's what you get from being on the digest version!

Anyway, Mike, ever heard the song "Alaska Highway" by The Neon Judgement?
... "This land knows me, here I can die; Alaska highway, lies in the sky"

Hats off to Daniele for the great string!
I would definitely eliminate 21c safety dance from 21c.
I would love to hear 77min of Cocricci!
I think that many MWH sons are too slow to be truly "danceable"
so faster remixes would perhaps respark their popularity.
Also, have any of the guitarist out there checked out my
MWH TABlature page (Dave2, Angie, Mike, et al.)?
hatlessly,

Sorry to bother the list, but someone posted a week ago that they were
looking for me and I deleted the message before I could respond. So whoever
is looking for me, please send a private email. Thanks!
