  33. The book itself. I own a copy of all the Polish editions. That is all 
  34. except for an edition of "The Black Company" with the horse running to
  35. the left. It is a mirror image of the current cover.                  
  36.                                                                       
  37. Anybody have a copy of this? I'd like to get a cover scan.

  54.     Yeah, all the Garrett novels have the Hildebrandt brothers. You'd think
  55. that with all their experience in illustrating Fantasy that they would get
  56. accurate with their interpertations. I haven't really liked every one of
  57. their pieces, they are just too hokey looking for me, too many rosy cheeks
  58. and all that. I mean look at all the 70's Tolkien calanders they did.
  59. Granted I was in Junior High and happy to have any interpertation of
  60. Tolkiens work. But they weren't anything like Tolkiens own interpertaions
  61. were. And His drawings were available for Them to get ideas from.
  62.     Perhaps the publishers told them how to do their work. Or maybe that's
  63. what Cook wanted but i tend to doubt that. It seems to me that the last
  64. illustrations Cook was psyched for was Keith Berdak's, but far be it for me
  65. to words in his mouth. He did dedicate a book, something like, "For Keith,
  66. because I like his style." I liked Berdak's interpertations myself because
  67. there was a kind of sinuous humor to some of them. Especially the Silver
  68. Spike, Toad Killer Dog's face just cracks me up.

  115. continiue of this theme? I want to say that on picture from Russian edition of 
  116. "Black company" (I don't know, maybe the same picture is on the original 
  117. edition too) i saw somebody looked like Croaker, but with one eye. Who is he?
