  919. Keep in mind that it is the visitors to the site that will vote, not a
  920. small group of hard-to-please judges. If you're not sure what kind of image
  921. to enter, take a look at what did well last year:

  925. A lot of different images proved popular, and the variety of things
  926. submitted this year is already fantastic. For entries, we're not picky at all.
  927.  
  928. If you're going to do a PHC or PTC fractal, then I suggest you follow these
  929. steps for best image quality:
  930.  
  931.     1. Explore and find an image you like.
  932.     2. Use one of the disk-render modes, I suggest 1600x1200 as a
  933.        minimum. If your video card will do 1600x1200, you can just
  934.        render to this resolution on your screen. Save the image at
  935.        this size.
  936.     3. Open the image in a good Windows graphics program, like
  937.        Paint Shop Pro or (if you've got it!) Photoshop. If you don't
  938.        have a good graphics program, you can download a trial version
  939.        of Paint Shop Pro from http://www.jasc.com/
  940.     4. Convert the image to 24-bit color.
  941.     5. Resize the image to contest size, 640x480.
  942.     6. If the image seems very fuzzy, use a slight sharpen effect.
  943.        Don't overdo this.
  944.     7. Save the image as a JPEG at high quality.
  945.  
  946. I've done lots of pictures this way from FractInt, it really makes a
  947. difference in image quality, especially with PHC/PTC fractals.

  1202. To use this FRACTINT formula, copy it into a text editor, save to a .FRM file and us 
  1203. FRACTINT on it. It is SO much like the old z=z^2+c that I am not making many special 
  1204. fractals with it.
  1205. To use it in the Iterations et Flarium series type the following into the formula box (only on 
  1206. programs with one):
  1207. z*z+c+(1/c)
  1208. It will not look at all like FRACTINT's output, though.
  1209.  
  1210. Here is the data that FRACTINT needs to make the fractal:
