  94. short sited of MicroSoft to have this txt thing as a default but then
  95. again it it MicroSoft, short sitedness is their stock-in-trade.

  172. I can paste again so I'm sending along this par which even my kid thought was
  173. great (he is very ho-hum usually.) It's from one of Paul Carlson's formulas
  174. posted earlier this month and which is yielding lots of fabulous images.  The
  175. color map is a variation I did on one of Carl's maps and gives an intersting
  176. back-lit look to the image.

  193. buried when I changed puters. Here is a re-coloration of Paul Carlson's par
  194. plus a bunch of maps in two colors to play with. When I first saw Paul's 2
  195. color maps I started making a whole series of my own variations. They are very
  196. useful for busy images.  I like a soft color pallet and I hope you enjoy

  248. Of those I received I felt that "Working3" was the more successful ("Working1"
  249. has that flat patch in the middle which sort of spoils it). And of the
  250. colouring schemes, Wizzle's "Julia7.map"- the purple and green one -
  251. probably came closest to whatever preconceptions I may have had. But I
  252. would also have to
  253. say that Linda Allison's two suggested colourings took me by surprise and
  254. were also very attractive.
  255.  
  256. I would also like to thank those who supplied references to map collections
  257. and design resources - I will follow them up (I've been concentrating
  258. lately on trying to learn Illustrator 7 - from scratch).

  496. with a lot of the stuff I've posted.  I tried it on the 5 images I
  497. posted the pars for with the Mandel_Squares formula and it turned them
  498. into works of art!
