I just recently purchased an Olympus D340R digital camera. This is a great
point and shoot camera that fits in your pocket. I have also a padded case
that is form fitting and some NiMH batteries. This camera will hold 122
images till it needs to be downloaded to your 'puter. Digital is the way to
go if you want to email or put up on a web page your photos.
The trick to taking good pictures on the trail is having your camera easily
available. If you have to set up your camera for each photo then "the good
ones" will get away. The D340R is a very easy camera to use and can be
found on the internet for about $250. I highly recommend one.

There is a company called Sun Dog--www.sundogusa.com--in Seattle that makes a
chest harness--called Action Harness-- for 35mm cameras that is used for
quick access. The camera sits on your sternum and is strapped down really
well. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for or not but it sure is
quick access for a SLR. Thes sell both waterproof and water-resistant
versions.
Good luck...Chris

I'm looking for a good way to transport my camera when I plonk into the
woods. I generally carry a backpack loaded up with goodies like bandaids,
water, towels, couple of tools, and some other misc stuff for myself and
two other riders.
I don't think I want to stick the camera in the backpack, though I probably
will, hell what's one more thing in there anyway. However, I'd really like
something which offers better access to the camera than the backpack
method.
I'll be packing a Nikon N70 with a 28-105mm and 100-300mm Zoom. I had
debated bringing it with last summer, but decided that my hands would be
full making sure my wife and kid were riding safely and I wouldn't have
time for any meaningful shots.
This summer will be a bit different.
Thanks
Eric

Just wondering if anybody new of any good DR sights on the web. I have a
1993 DR 350 that I have had since it was new and it now is need of some
major upgrades, but am having trouble finding places to shop on the web. My
home town shop is okay, but they seem to add about 100% to the real cost.
Thanks.

Hi Arne, I believe these carbs are all vented the two ports with hoses just
above the bowl about an inch or so are the vents you can confirm this by
removing the carb then remove the bowl and look up inside and you can see
where these ports exit the upper area of the float bowl. I have just stocked
an order of DR350 pumper carbs (Dirt model) if your friend would like to get
serious about upgrading let me know and I will get some prices for him.

Subject: (dr350) Keeping soft bags off the muffler
List,
What do people do when using soft bags over the quasi-number plates? On my
DR-350, I just had my Eclipse saddlebags push my RH number plate into the
muffler and melt some things. Though nothing serious, I wouldn't want to
take a trip like that.
The LH side doesn't matter, nothing there to be damaged.
Any suggestions?

Doug,
Check out:< http:// www.happy-trail.com> They have side racks for most everything including

did not have to purchase new side number plates to return the bike. Norm

Hi all, can anyone tell me what the main jet on the 99' dr350x with the
