Got 'em installed, tried 'em out, and liked 'em. Not only is the bike a bit
lower, which suits my riding style, but the rear end behaves better. Wish I
had done this modification on day one! Good job on your design modification.

This year will be the first full moon to occur on the
winter solstice, Dec. 22, commonly called the first
day of winter. Since a full moon on the winter
solstice occurred in conjunction with a lunar perigee
(point in the moon's orbit that is closest to Earth).
The moon will appear about 14% larger than it does at
apogee (the point in it's elliptical orbit that is
farthest from the Earth)since the Earth is also
several million miles closer to the sun at this time
of the year than in the summer, sunlight striking the
moon is about 7% stronger making it brighter.
Also, this will be the closest perigee of the Moon of
the year since the moon's orbit is constantly
deforming. If the weather is clear and there is a
snow cover where you live, it is believed that even
car headlights will be superfluous. On December 21st
1866 the Lakota Sioux took advantage of this
combination of occurrences and staged a devastating
retaliatory ambush on soldiers in the Wyoming
Territory.
In laymen's terms it will be a super bright full moon,
much more than the usual AND it hasn't happened this
way for133 years. Our ancestors saw this 133 years
ago. Our descendants100 or so years from now will see
this again. >>

On the right side of the carb there ae two black hoses. The one towards the
rear of the bike is the vent for the float bowl. Some guys will tell you to T
that but just pull the end of it down from under the airbox somewhere and zip
tie it to the wire that holds the idle speed screw on the left side of the
carb. What can happen--maybe this is your problem--is gas gets into that vent
hose, which is pointed UP instead of down, and makes it unable to draw air.
Think of the p-trap under your sink where water in the trap prevents sewer
gas from coming into your house. When gas collexts in the vent hose it
prevents it from venting the float bowl and it's like you are running out of
gas. Mark Hyde from Suzuki fixed mine (and several others) at the Honda Hoot
and no more problems!!

Subject: (dr350) DR bar layout...
Chris... riding during the full moon... that must mean your bike is back
together! Say, when you swapped to the 91 upsidedown RMX forks, did the top
triple clamp sit the bars more forward compared to the stock DR top triple
clamp?? That to me would be an added benefit as I'm realizing the cramped
seat/peg/bar is terrible for standing.
To all you guys who reminded me to rotate the bars forward... I did try that
to the point of it looking wierd it was so far forward...yet still not
comfortable...

Subject: (dr350) DR ergos
With the discussion regarding the height of the bars on DRs and their effect
on riding in the standing position, I'm wondering if anyone else has a
problem with the width of the frame in the calf area. Whenever, I stand, I
have to make a conscious choice between having my legs ahead of the frame
which puts my body on top of the bars, or behind the frame which is the more
ideal position for weight but makes it difficult to shift from the standing
position. It's quite uncomfortable to stand straight up. This is the first
dirt bike I've had that this is a problem on. It's a much more comfortable
sit-on bike. Has anyone else experienced this?
