I=27m looking for some help on a little electrical problem I developed =
during our latest trip to the Black Rock Desert. My brake light is dead. =
The bulb is good and so are the front and rear brake light switches as =
well as the wiring to the light itself. All other lights on the bike work =
fine. What am I missing here? My headlight is working but no taillight. =
The only thing I can think of that might have caused the problem is that =
I normally remove the front and rear turn signal stalks when I ride off =
road. When I put the stalks back on this weekend, I still had a =
problem.=20
If Jesse is listening, I have got to find out where you are at in Grants =
Pass. I live in Medford so I=27m not far away. I=27ve learned a lot from =
some of your posts and have been thinking about doing a little more =
tinkering on the bike...=20
Thanks to all,
Mark

Does anyone have any ideas for a rear fender replacement? I can't stand the
boomerang shape of the DR's rear fender and have been looking for a better
looking (more curved) replacement for a while - looks like Suzuki finally
woke up on the
2000 - DR400 and changed the style. I recently saw a DR with an aftermarket
rear fender that was more curved and had the blinkers embedded in it. Has
anyone seen this.
Your thoughts?
Regards,
Guy
PS - I tried to modify a Acerbis universal fender to fit but was not happy
with the results.

I suspect my 94 DR 350 has an engine oil circulation problem.
Anyone with an electric start model who can spare a few minutes of time,
got out to your DR after it has not been ridden (when the motor is stone
cold) pull the dipstick and see if oil registers on the dip stick and
report back to me. The way I understand how the oil system works is that
most of the oil should drain back into the crankcase when the bike is shut
down, resulting in little or no oil remaining in the frame reservoir - ie.
no oil should appear on the dipstick when the bike is stone cold.
