HI John, I see your ad in cycle news any luck yet on the sale good price for what
you have in it.for the buyer anyway. I have a customer that purchased an airbox and
he is doing some serious porting ,cam etc. and took it to an outfit that has a
flowbench to do some testing these are the figures he gave me and the certificates
are coming in the mail. 1.stock airbox with the top cut out 134.3 cfm
2.vortex airbox 265 cfm
3.stock cv carb 144 cfm
4.stock head 148.9 cfm
5.ported head 184 cfm
I guess that tells the story. I am getting more calls with the cycle news ad
needless to say I am excited. regards Jesse

Well,
In my experience, my DR350SEM is not a smooth shifter unless your really
in tune to it. IO find up shifts do better w/o clutch. Very RPM
sensitive also. Doesn't like to be shifted down under 4000 as much as
above. Hey, my BMW R11 shiftes slicker than the DR. Don't remember my
old KLR being that notchy either. I've tried different clutch settings
but doesn't change things that much as long as it's not creeping. But,
have learned to make it work for me with a bit of patience.
How's it said, Practice, Practice, Practice.. ha ha ha

I'm kinda surprised to hear this since I just purchased a new '99 DR. I've
put about 300 dirt only miles on it and I find it shifts slicker than snot
on a doorknob. Owned a 1982 GS750T from '85 - '97 and put about 20k miles
on her and she always shifted well.

Subject: (dr350) For Sale
Sorry guy's but the DR350 is just not for me. So after riding a CR250 today I
have seen the light. I am going to put my DR350s (converted to dirt only) up
for sale.I am also putting my DR250 up for sale. (96' and 90' respectively.)
I will take $2500 for both.Does this sound like a good price? I'm not looking
to sell it on this list, just seeking advice. Thanks guys. Each and everyone
of you have provided me with valuable information since I have been on the
list. Thanks Again.I won't leave the list until they are sold.

Subject: (dr350) (Midwest) Places to ride
Hi All,
After 11 years of marriage and some constant encouragement from me my wife
has finally agreed to give motorcycling a go.
I bought an XT350 for her and she's put 50 or 60 miles of dirt under her
wheels so far. She's starting to really dig it and I'm very happy she's
tried something new. I think what put her over the top was seeing how much
fun our son and I had riding in Black River Falls Wisconsin earlier this
year.
I'm coming up on some time off and want to take the family for a week long
stint of trail riding and am looking for some good locations. We're
probably going to head up into northern Wisconsin but I've been wondering
what kind of riding is available in Ohio and Indiana or even Kentucky.
Trev, our son is 8 years old and Michigan seems to require some safety
course(s) before he can head out on the trail system with Mom and I, so I
don't think we'll be hitting the scenery there.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Eric
