I installed my new muffler for my 650 from Two Brothers Racing on Wednesday.
All I can say is it rocks. If you don't like loud this isn't for you. If you
like power, than this slip on is for you.
I will be putting it on a dyno hopefully next week and post the results on
my web page. But the power increase is amazing. A quick throttle blast in
second gear can knock you on your ass. When I cruise on the freeway at my
normal throttle position I get 105 - 110 km/h depending on the wind.
Yesterday at the same throttle position I was cruising along at 125 km/h.
Just amazing (I know I've said that already). I have not done anything with
my carb yet either.
The noise is incredible. It reminds me of an article by Arne Larson in a
recent edition of the Dual Sport News where he ranks different pipes
according to noise level. This pipe must be right up there with the "Big
Gun".
Installation is a no-brainer. I'll post some pictures of the pipe on my web
page as soon as my film is developed.
For anyone looking at a new exhaust system I highly recommend this pipe.
Regards,
Shayne.

Shayne,
I'm glad you enjoy your new pipe. But Please, Please, Please! Don't
come on any organized dual sport rides. Thanks VERY much.

Subject: (dr) 350SE tranny damping
Hi, could Jesse or someone please answer to this question
These things i know: newer 350SE has no rubber damping in the rear hub.
When offroading , that's fine. But if there's no damping at all and you
accelerate
hard on the asphalt, the chain can give nasty jolts to the tranny, which can
eventually break the tranny.
Question : Is there some kind of damping system in the SE's clutch, which
absorbs the jolts or has the factory beefed up the tranny gears on the 97 up
SE's
(I've heard that couple of XR 400 guys have broken their trannies, when
accelerating hard on the asphalt.)
Thanks in advance, happy eastern

It's in the front sprocket. I use the same one on my DRZ400E.

Okay, Okay, I know. But I gotta tell ya. I finally broke down and ditched
the piece-o-crap Quicksilver that has been plaguing my RXCs performance. And
it was the best move (alright, maybe a little late) I've made with this
bike. Got a DelOrto for $279 and had my local shop ( a GOOD one! Motorcycle
Enthusiasts In Springhill, FL) install it for me. Add about 2 1/2 hour
labor. So for a hair over $400, I've got myself a new bike! And I mean a new
bike. It looks just like the one i dropped off there, but it runs completely
different! Can you say OH MY GOD! different. It snorts! It rips!
Best thing you can do to your RXC, baby! Go get one. You won't be sorry!

Hi Mikko, all of the clutch bakets have dampening springs in them. I guess
that Suzuki decided that the positive traction that is the result of riding
on asphalt was not as bad as was first thought so they just put the dirt
version hub in the dual sport models from 97 up.
