soft muddy stuff, just another option. How are you doing with your

I have found on my 93 DR350 that the Dunlop 752's front and rear work great,
these are the only tires I have ever put on it. They just do so much. Any
body know of some that are better?

Any feedback on these tires? Looking for a good soft terrain tire able to
digest a steady diet of mud, sand and loamy stuff for my '93 DR350. Saw
these
listed in the Dennis Kirk catalog and look like they'd be the ticket for
roosting the soft stuff. How well do they hold up (chunking, tread wear
etc)?; do they shed the mud?; will they function okay on the occasional
harder stuff? Thanks for any advice......

I am fixing to order out the Vortex box, I was wondering what the
actual physical size (LxWxH) of this thing is, in looking at the
pictures at the web site it looks like it fits with the fenders of the
bike removed. This brings me to my next question, what changes in
jetting should I make at 0-500 feet, and a stock motor and exhaust with
a pumper carb? Do I just need to change the main or do I need to change
the pilot jet too, what about the spring and needle?
Thanks Bryan

Hi Bryan, all side covers, fenders fit the same with the airbox in place.
With stock exhaust and motor I would recommend a 140 main jet stock pilot
and the clip in the fourth groove down on the needle. If you have the pumper
carb you do not have a spring and needle this is only on the CVcarb for the
DR350S model. You say you are using the pumper carb I am assuming that your
bike is a dirt only model is this correct? also What year model do you have?

Hi,
When testing a plug for lean/rich condition with new main jet do you let
the bike idle to warm up first then put in new plug and give it a full
throttle rev then hit kill switch? How long do you keep it at full throttle
rev, do you just hit full then kill it quick?
Thanks,

Hi Mike, I believe this was what they called a carb reflow and it definatly
was an improvement over the stock settings. I still prefer the TM33SS dirt
model pumper but what you have is ok as long as you are satisfied with it.
Have you made any other modifications to your bike like an exhaust system.
The vortex is an improved model of the Magic airbox so your performance
should be the same with either one. The bored out TM33SS Carb would enhance
the performance though. I have these in stock and do the carb boring. This
should give you some things to think about. If you have any questions
please feel free to contact me

Hi Jesse,
I have a '91 DR350S with a Cycle Gear airbox. When I installed the
airbox a few years ago I also sent the carb to CG for a modification to
make the slide open faster. They also installed a Dyno main jet (can't
recall the number right now.) I think they were calling this a "stage
2" mod at the time. Are you familiar with this carb mod, and do you
recommend it in conjunction with the Vortex airbox? Indeed the
combination of airbox/carb mod on my bike made a nice improvement, but
I installed them at the same time so I'm not certain how much the carb
mod contributed. (My motor is otherwise stock.)
