  51. =09"Mrs. Summers?" Giles asked as he knocked on her door. He, Willow, Xan=
  52. der,=0ACordelia, and Oz had come to Buffy=92s house to question her mothe=
  53. r.
  54. =09"Yes?" she said, opening the door.
  55. =09"We, we believe that we might be able to find Buffy=92s whereabouts."
  56. =09"Come in." The group went in and sat in the living room. "Where=92s Bu=
  57. ffy?"
  58. =09Willow said, "We=92re not exactly sure."
  59. =09"Do you know," Giles asked, "who Buffy was very close to when she live=
  60. d in=0ALos Angeles?"
  61. =09"Well," Mrs. Summers started, "most of Buffy=92s friends stopped being=
  62.  friendly=0Awith her before she left. There was this one guy though, Pike=
  63.  I think his name=0Awas. He and Buffy were always together."
  64. =09"Do you know his last name?" Cordelia asked.
  65. =09"No, I don=92t recall. But I do remember he lived on Park Ave."
  66. =09Giles said, "Thank you. We=92ll call you if we find Buffy."
  67. =09"What do you mean you=92ll call me? I=92m finding her with you. I=92m =
  68. not just=0Agoing to sit here and-"
  69. =09He interupted, "I think it would be best if you wait here for Buffy ju=
  70. st in=0Acase she comes back."
  71. =09With that, everyone except Mrs. Summer=92s left.

  73. =09"I=92m really surprised," said Willow as she walked.
  74. =09"About what?" asked Xander.
  75. =09"That Buffy sent him to Hell even after you told her I was doing the c=

  78. =09"What?" she asked, the color of her face turning a bright red.
  79. =09"Will, I-"
  80. =09"How could you do this to her-to him! Damnit, Xander, I know that you =
  81. were=0Ajealous, but-"
  82. =09"Let me explain-"
  83. =09"I already know the story. You were so jealous that Angel was going to=
  84.  get to=0Ahave her even after all he did that you wanted him to die. You =
  85. didn=92t think=0Aabout anybody but yourself." Tears started dripping down=
  86.  her eyes. 
  87. =09"That=92s not it at all."
  88. =09"Then look me in the face and tell me that I=92m completely wrong." Al=
  89. l he did=0Awas stand there looking down.
  90. =09"I knew it. You should be real happy with yourself, Xander. You not on=
  91. ly=0Aruined Buffy=92s life, but you killed Angel, too."
  92. =09"Or did I?"

  94. =09"It says here that in order to get Angel back, we must awaken Acathla,=
  95. "=0AWillow read from the computer screen. "When the vortex opens, Angel w=
  96. ill be=0Aspewed out. Because of this, the vortex will imediately close it=
  97. self, and the=0Aworld won=92t be sucked into Hell."
  98. =09"Good job, Willow," Giles said. "It=92ll be good to try when Buffy get=
  99. s back."
  100. =09"Giles, I think it would be good if I tried it when were gone?" asked =
  101. Willow.=0A"That way Buffy will have Angel when she comes back."
  102. =09"I=92ll do the ceremony since I didn=92t tell Buffy," Xander said.
  103. =09Giles said sternly, "I want you to wait."
  104. =09"But it might be the only way to get Buffy to come back," pointed out=
  105. =0ACordelia.
  106. =09"Fine," Giles spoke. "I=92ll go to L.A. to find Buffy while you perfor=
  107. m the=0Aritual. Be careful."
  108. =09"We will be."
  109. =09As soon as Giles left, Drusilla and a group of vamps entered.
  110. =09"Put them in the cage," she ordered, "except him." She walked over to =
  111. Xander.=0A"Look at the poor dear, trembling and all." She rubbed her hand=
  112.  against his=0Aneck and shoved his face down. Slowly, she lowered her fan=
  113. gs and bit into his=0Aneck. She quickly pulled away as if his blood was n=
  114. o good. "Bring him with us.=0AHe can be the bait."

  124. Sorry I'm so late with this. These characters aren't talking *pout*
  125.     Hope it's okay though.

  128. Charlotte Sometimes (part 29)    
  129.     (I'm sure that there'll be violence from pretty much now on, so incase
  130. I forget to say it in the beginning of one of these chapters you know
  131. why :)
  132.  
  133.  
  134.     "I'm not a witch" She screamed. Pleading with the men holding her.
  135. Blood was ebbing it's way down her wrists and she knew they were
  136. bleeding again, the ropes bore into her soft skin. "Please!" She cried,
  137. but it was as though they didn't hear her. Or see her.
  138.     They pushed her forward exciting a  pained gasp from her weakening
  139. body. She couldn't make it to the town with her wounded ankle. She'd
  140. pass out before a mile!
  141.

  144.     He was watching from the shadows.
  145.     Watching as they bound her wrists and hauled her off.
  146.     Well, he thought, strolling along side them, gliding though the
  147. darkness unseen.  
  148.     Yet another reasons that mortals were inferior. A witch? Drusilla? That
  149. was the most absurd thing he'd seen in a while. She was far to pure to
  150. be in 'leagues with the devil'.
  151.     He laughed.
  152.     But then, she was caught red handed at the murder scene...
  153.

  155.  
  156.     She looked up into the face of her judge. Cold, unfeeling.
  157. She'd never been more scared in her life. Adrenaline from her mothers
  158. death coursed through her veins still. She couldn't hardly think, the
  159. image was flooding her head, causing unwilled tears to fall as a stream
  160. might. The one man that could save her, that would listen to her looked
  161. like a monster. An unfeeling, uncaring monster!
  162.     She was a mess, blood clung to her! Tied around her! Ankle broken, and
  163. wrists torn. She was tattered and torn again. And a small vision came to
  164. her, of a sleeping Lydia, laying in her bed not knowing her mother was
  165. gone forever, not understanding the pain of death. Unaware that her
  166. sister was  being held at a witches court.
  167.

  170.     He looked down at the miserable child. She had a good cover, looking so
  171. distraught and angst ridden over her mothers death. But that's how they
  172. all were. Witches. They all thought they could fool him. But he know.
  173. She may look innocent but looks don't matter.
  174. He got straight down to business
  175.     "What evil spirit have you familiarity with?"
  176.

  179.     Drusilla's eyes widened in horror. What? Evil? "None," She sobbed.
  180. Evil? Her mothers murderer was evil. Her fathers murderer was evil.
  181. She'd not done a thing. She WASN'T EVIL! 
  182. Drusilla looked into the eyes of her judge once more and pleaded with
  183. her eyes. "I swear it!" 
  184.

  186.     
  187. He made no reference to her sobs and wrote unknown words on a piece of
  188. paper. Continuing as though she were a soulless villain. 
  189. "Have you made no contract with the devil?"
  190.  
  191. "No." She sighed, she was paling. Witches could do that on cue. 
  192.  
  193.             "Why do you hurt your parents?"
  194.  
  195. ~
  196.     
  197.     Her parents...
  198.     Her mother. Isabelle was dead! Her parents had been TORTURED and they
  199. sat here! They sat here judging her, there was a killer loose! A killer.
  200.     A killer that had tortured her father.
  201.     And then her mother...
  202.     The tears fell softer now as her face became a mask of nothingness, her
  203. breath stilling. She body stopped as an achieved horror stilled the
  204. blood in her veins and ran it cold.     
  205.     He'd gone after her family! He was following after her family, he'd
  206. chosen them!
  207.     "Lydia" She whispered in shock as she realized her sister was alone in
  208. a house with protection only from her uncle.  
  209.     Drusilla felt her body hit the cold floor before her world went into
  210. blackness.

  254.     The locker door was slammed promptly and Buffy turned to see that
  255. a smiling redhead was waiting behind her, "Hey, how did your date with Oz
  256. go?  I'm assuming that's why you can be so peppy on a Monday morning?"
  257.  
  258.     "Oh, it was nice, we went Bronzing and he did the most cutest
  259. thing," Willow responded with a sigh as her friend couldn't help but
  260. crack a smile.
  261.  
  262.     "Umàlet me guess, he jumped on to the stage, whispered to the
  263. guitarist, took the guitar and began to sing a song he wrote especially
  264. for you called, "When I'm With You," she said as Willow looked at her
  265. with widened eyes.  "  Before you begin to think that I have some sort of
  266. strange immediate spider-sense that's linked to the slayage gene, I have
  267. to tell you that I was Bronzing too."
  268.  
  269.     Willow opened her mouth to reply, but closed it quickly as she
  270. frowned, "But what about - "
  271.  
  272.     "Xander!"  Buffy said as she saw her boyfriend walking past her.
  273.  
  274.     "Buff, Will, I walk past you and you actually call me back?"  He
  275. said with a grin, "But no time to chat, I gotta hurry to class."
  276.  
  277.     The girls paused for a moment, before Buffy pulled his arm and
  278. brought him back to their group, "Wait a minute, do we know you?  I mean,
  279. Alexander LaVelle Harris, actually wants to go to classàearly?"
  280.  
  281.     "Look, I joined this creative writing class that meets once a
  282. week during 2nd period, therefore I get to go there and not to 2nd
  283. periodàwhere the Ogre dwells," he said with a smile not wanting to reveal
  284. his real reasons, but he was met on disapproving teacher looks.
  285.  
  286.     "Xander!  That class is for those who really want to write!" she
  287. said angrily, "You shouldn't just take it to get out of class."
  288.  
  289.     "So, I'll write, Will, just for you, but I won't be able to write
  290. anything at all if I'm late," he said with a sigh, knowing that they
  291. would never understand.  He gave Buffy a kiss on the cheek before waving
  292. good-bye to both of them.
  293.  
  294.     Willow looked at her friend reproachfully when he left,
  295. "Buffyàyou didn't tell him!"
  296.  
  297.     "YeahàI know," the blonde said with a sigh, "It's just that I
  298. don't know how he's going to take it.  Y'know it isn't easy telling your
  299. boyfriend you want to give your ex, who was formerly your vampire lover,
  300. his soul back."
  301.  
  302.     "But you have to tell him your reasonsàI'm sure he'd understand,"
  303. she replied, but as soon as she realized what she had said and who she
  304. had been referring to, she faltered, "Umàmaybe not."
  305.  
  306.     "Precisely," Buffy said with a sigh as the bell rang loudly and
  307. echoed through the halls.  She would rather do anything right now than
  308. contemplate about what to tell Xander about her wants to initiate the
  309. curseàeven if it meant going to class.

  339. Buffy felt herself falling asleep.  "Finallyà" she thought as 
  340. she drifted off.  She was immediately dreaming.  She was fighting 
  341. with Angel in the cemetery and kicking his butt!  'This feels 
  342. great,' she thought.
  343.  
  344. But as he kneeled on the ground, he reached up to her with his 
  345. left hand, pain in his eyes, "Please Buffy!  Don't do this to us!  
  346. I love youà"
  347.  
  348. She stopped, ready to attack with her stake unsheathed.  "What?"  
  349. Confusion raced through her mind.
  350.  
  351. "Buffy, please listen to me before you strike.  I only have a 
  352. couple of minutes before he comes back!"
  353.  
  354. "Angel?"
  355.  
  356. "Yes, it's me.  I have to tell you something.  It is very important.  
  357. Angelus is looking for you.  Tonight is the night he will come 
  358. for you.  Please Buffy, be careful.  Get yourself to safety.  
  359. Angelus is determined not to fail." Then he was gone. 
  360.  
  361. Buffy found herself walking into the Bronze.  Willow, Xander and 
  362. Cordelia were there.  "Hey Buffy, raiding your mom's closet again?"  
  363. Cordy asked her.
  364.  
  365. "Hey!  It's the Buffster!  Good to see yaà where ya been?"  Xander 
  366. smiled at her.
  367.  
  368. "Buffy!"  Willow ran to her and crushed her with a big hug.  
  369. "We missed you!"  Then Willow collapsed into her arms.
  370.  
  371. "Willow?"  
  372.  
  373. "You have to stop him Buffy!"  Willow told her desperately as 
  374. she turned to dust.
  375.  
  376. Buffy was in the cemetery againà "Willow?"  Giles was next to her.
  377.  
  378. What the Hell?

  380. "Buffy!  Stop this!  You need to work on your form!  Now is not 
  381. the time for sleeping!"  Giles yelled at her, waking her from the 
  382. dream.  She was sweating and breathing heavily from the experience.

  384. "Oh my God.  I have to get out of here!"  She strained at the 
  385. ties again.  Desperately, she began pulling at them, calling forth 
  386. every ounce of strength she possessed.
  387.  
  388. The door opened.  "Knock, knock, Buffy.  It's time to go," Angelus 
  389. walked into her room, and was smiling at her.

  415. Best Intentions Part 8
  416. ~~~
  417. "Wait.  Wait!  What do you mean Angel is a Vampire?  This is 
  418. crazy!  Vampires are only in movies and Stephen King novels.  
  419. But if what you say is true, and Buffy is this Slayer, then why 
  420. would she be dating a Vampire?  This doesn't make any sense!"  
  421. Joyce looked frantically from the two teens to Giles.
  422.  
  423. "Mrs. Summers, please, it's dark.  Buffy may be in grave danger, 
  424. and we must get her to safety.  It is imperative we get to the hospital 
  425. and you have her released.  Now!"  Giles told her.
  426.  
  427. "Come on!"  Willow practically shrieked.  "Something's wrong.  I 
  428. can feel it.  Buffy's in trouble."
  429.  
  430. "No!  She needs help.  She doesn't need you three feeding her more 
  431. fantasy material.  Your story doesn't make any sense!" Joyce 
  432. shouted desperately.
  433.  
  434. "Mrs. Summers, if you do not go and release her, I will!"  Giles 
  435. told her.  "Please.  We must get over to the hospital."
  436.  
  437. "Mrs. Summers, the darkness lasts for a long time when you have 
  438. no way to defend yourself.  Buffy is in danger, and we need to get 
  439. to her before it is too late!"  Xander told her.  He grabbed Willow's 
  440. hand and led her out of the office.  "Come on!"
  441.  
  442. "OK, we'll go and check on her, but, I will not have her released.  
  443. Let's go.  I'll drive.  You're all worrying me."
  444.  
  445. The four left the library and ran outside towards Joyce's Jeep.
  446.

  448.  
  449. "Angel!  What are you doing here?  Decide you need to come and pay 
  450. a little visit to the sick and feeble?" Buffy tried desperately to 
  451. keep the panic from her voice.
  452.  
  453. "Nah.  I heard you were here.  Thought I'd pay you a visit," he 
  454. smirked.  "You know, Buff, you're not lookin' so good!"
  455.  
  456. "Aw, Angel, as romantic as ever!  You always know just the right 
  457. thing to say to a girl."  'Now is definitely the time to start 
  458. causing a scene,' she thought.  "NO!  GET AWAY FROM ME!  LEAVE ME 
  459. ALONE!  GO!  LEAVE!"  Buffy started screaming, hoping a nurse would 
  460. come into the room to buy her some time.
  461.  
  462. "Buffy, I'm not near you.  Yet!"
  463.  
  464. "LEAVE!  GO!  NURSE!  HELP ME!  PLEASE!  SOMEONE HELP ME!"
  465.  
  466. Angel started looking around frantically, for something to gag her 
  467. with.  But the room was empty.  He started to pull his shirt out 
  468. of his pants to fashion a makeshift gag.
  469.  
  470. "Buffy! Stop!"  He ran to the door and looked out the window.  He 
  471. saw a nurse coming.  "If you don't stop, I'll kill her."
  472.  
  473. The nurse crashed into the room.  Angel hid behind the door.  "What 
  474. is going on in here?  Why are you yelling like that?"  Nurse Collins 
  475. scolded her.  Angel was behind the woman, positioned to attack.
  476.  
  477. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.  I was having this horrible dream.  It 
  478. must be this place.  It is totally freaking me out."  Buffy told the 
  479. nurse.
  480.  
  481. "Oh.  Well, lets try to not scream like that, OK?  You're going to 
  482. wake up the other patients."
  483.  
  484. "I'm really, really sorry.  Listen, do you think you could let me 
  485. go to the bathroom?  Please, I really have to go, and I hate those 
  486. horrible bedpans!"
  487.  
  488. "I don't think so, honey.  You have to stay tied down.  I have my 
  489. orders.  I'll get the bedpan for you."
  490.  
  491. "No!  I mean, I *really* hate those things.  They're so degrading, 
  492. and, and icky.  Please?  I won't cause any trouble, I swear."  Buffy 
  493. gave her the best innocent look she had.  Wide eyes, pouty mouth.  
  494. She looked at Angelus, and a shiver of fear passed through her.  
  495. He was shaking his head at her.
  496.  
  497. "Look, honey, I don't think soà" Buffy could tell she was making 
  498. headway with the nurse.
  499.  
  500. "Oh, please?  I've been so good all day.  Hardly any fussà I won't 
  501. cause any trouble.  I swear!"  She had to get out of this fast as 
  502. Angel was ready to attack the woman.
  503.  
  504. "Wellà OK, I'll let you walk to the bathroom, but, if there is 
  505. any troubleà"
  506.  
  507. "Oh, thank you so much!"  The woman walked towards her, and began 
  508. to undo the restraints.  She had one undone and started to walk toward 
  509. the other side when Angel attacked.  "Look out!" Buffy warned.
  510.  
  511. The woman turned, to look at Angel.  Buffy reached over to undo 
  512. the other strap.  "What are you doing in here, young man.  No 
  513. visitors!"  That was all she said.  Angel reached over and punched 
  514. her.  She fell to the ground, unconscious.
  515.  
  516. "I told you to behave yourself!"  Angel raced towards the bed, 
  517. just as she undid the second tie.  She reached up and hit him.  
  518.  
  519. "Get away from me!"  She yelled at him.
