Title: Lost & Found (5/?)

Rating: PG-13 = violence and graphic descriptions (no sex)
Summary: Series after Vengeance - Buffy, Xander, Willow & Giles are all
vampires.  Drusilla is making Buffy pay for supposedly killing Spike.
Previous Stories: If you like this story but don't understand it, it's
probally because you haven't read Vengeance. That came before this one and
this is a continuation of it. You can find it as well as all my other stories

Distribution: I'll say yes, but ask.
Spoilers: Everything up to Killed By Death (just to be safe)
Feedback: Please, good or bad, I need to know. The more feedback, the more
writting I do!  I won't care if you tell me this story is horrible, I just
want to know.

This story is something that happens after Killed By Death. Probally
a Third season type story. This story has some pretty graphic descriptions
and some people may be upset by the story. There is a PG-13 rating on
this story however, there is no sex or sexual situations. Just some Buffy
like language and violence. This story will go on for a while, or until I come
up with a way to end it. The characters, Buffy, Xander, Willow, etc. belong
to Joss Whedon, The WB, Sandollar, etc.

    "You made a big mistake coming here." Spike looked directly
into Angel's eyes as he hit him across the face with a direct back hand.
Angel stumbled back addressing the pain.
    "Nice shot." Angel was almost proud.
    "What'd you think I was going to do, just stand here while you smacked me
around?"
    "As a matter of fact..."
    "Don't get your hopes up. You came here to fight, and that's
exactly what your going to get." Spike kicked Angel directly in the
chin and he fell back onto the bed where Buffy was sitting. She looked
down at his suspicious face.
    "Hi there Buffy!" Angel's voice bounded with excitement as he
kipped up to face Spike again.  Angel punched Spike in the face several
times before kicking him in the stomach. The blow sent Spike falling
backwards.  Spike hit the wall behind him hard, and he collapsed to the
ground.
    "Oh, I bet that hurt." Angel walked over towards Spike and
picked him off the ground. Angel punched Spike in the stomach and he
buckled over in pain.
    "Come on Spike, it's no fun if you don't play along!" Angel
grabbed Spike's hair and lifted his head till their eyes met.  "Dru
was right, your weak."
    Fire rose in Spike's eyes as determination and anger took over.
Spike grabbed Angel by the throat and lifted him up into the air. Angel
let go of Spike's hair and reached for his throat. Spike's grasp was
strong and Angel struggled to break free.
    "What's the matter, too weak for you?" Spike tightened his grip
and Angel kicked Spike in the face forcing him to let go. Spike and Angel
both backed away from eachother.
    "You two are pathetic," Buffy said as she got out of the bed.
"Dru's right though, you're weak. You're both weak!"
    "You're one to talk," Angel said as he approached Buffy from
the right.
    "Yeah, you came here to stop this." Spike continued to nurse his
face which was covered in blood.
    Buffy stood still between the two of them in her long black gown.
The look of anger in her eyes deepened. Suddenly, Buffy grabbed Angel
by the hair, reached for Spike's as well and slammed their heads together.
They broke away from her tight grasp and both let out cries of pain.
    "Why the hell did you do that?" Angel held his head tight in his hands,
trying to force the pain away.
    "Because I wanted in on the action. Is there a problem with that?"
    "No!" Spike spun around and kicked Buffy in the face with a
roundhouse kick. "Not at all," Spike said as he watched her fall back
to the ground.  Buffy quickly recovered and stood up to face the both
of them.  Angel was still a bit disoriented but attempted to kick Buffy
anyway.  She caught his foot, mid-air and threw him aside. Spike took
the opportunity to get in another hit. His foot hit Buffy in the
stomach weakly.
    "Now I know you can do better than that," Buffy said as she
encouraged Spike to take another shot.
    "Yes, I can." Spike gathered all his strength and kicked Buffy
in the jaw with a switch-kick. She flew backwards and landed on her
back like a ton of bricks had just been thrown at her.  Buffy could
feel the teeth coming loose in her mouth. After a few seconds Buffy
jumped up with her demonic face on.
    "Look who wants to play!" Spike transformed his face as well
and ran towards Buffy. Buffy hit him hard in the face with a left hook
and he moved off to the side. Angel approached her from behind, now
feeling much stronger. He caught her off guard with a flying kick to
the back of the head. Buffy fell to her hands and knees in immense
pain.  She refused to let it show and got back up. When she turned
around to face Angel, she found that he had disappeared.
    Spike jumped on Buffy's back and grabbed her head.
    "If your not going to help me, you might as well die." Before
Spike could kill her, Buffy reached up and pulled him over her shoulder.
He landed on his back with a thud.
    "I told you, I *can't* help you."  Buffy walked to Spike's
side and looked down at his weak body. "But if you want me dead, it's
going to take a lot more than you got."  Buffy kicked Spike in the
side and he rolled over trying to escape her next move.
    "Now where did Angel go?" Buffy stepped away from a badly
wounded Spike and searched around the empty room for any signs.
Nothing. He was gone without a trace. "Oh well, more for Spike." Buffy
walked back over to where Spike had been to find that he had escaped
as well.
    "I don't have time for games you two." Buffy turned quickly
in circles around the room examining every inch. They were gone.

SUMMARY: IÆve decided to help explain the past through
a series of interludes that will be interspersed throughout
the story as it goes on. These flashbacks take place about
9 years before "Reunion," give or take a few months.
Needless to say, if you havenÆt read "Reunion," this wonÆt
make much sense to you. If you donÆt have it, you can

"Reunion" Interlude # 2:
"Act of Mercy"

Angel felt again. It wasnÆt something dramatic, or painful.
The demon endured that. For him, it was simply waking
up, as if heÆd been asleep for the past year. Only it was
waking up to a nightmare instead of from one.

A real nightmare that would never in a hundred years fade
from memory. The memories of Jenny and Willow shot
through his heart like a barbed arrow he couldnÆt wrench
out. Like something that festered. He screamed as if he
were in physical pain.

He didnÆt have time to scream or mourn for long. A fist
struck him in the jaw hard. His eyes snapped open instantly.
Xander was there, blood dripping from his face.

The light was gone from his eyes.

Now they were merely dim spheres of dumb rage.

"YOU KILLED HER," he screamed at the vampire,
"YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED
HER AND YOUÆRE GOING TO FINISH HER OFF,
BASTARD!"

AngelÆs head spun. The boyÆs diatribe wasnÆt making
sense. How could she be aliv-

Buffy.

Buffy had hit him out of the way beforeà He heard sobbing.
Oh God. She was still alive.

Without warning, Xander yanked him from the grass and
shoved him at the crumpled figure on the lawn. Vaguely he
noticed Buffy unconscious near the wall, and Giles body
limply wrapped around the tree.

Willow *was* alive. She was writhing now, and clutching
her throat, the blood spilling through her fingers. Her hair
was spread about her in all directions, tangled, matted and
dark. Her eyes were wild and uncomprehending. Her
occasional sob was faint and pathetic.

"DO IT," Xander shouted, violently throwing him at the girl.
He fell on top of her and she gasped as his weight knocked
the wind out of her. He couldnÆt do this. Everything in him
railed against it. It made him sick to be this close. Yet the
demon stirred. Xander was roaring and Willow was crying,
and he couldnÆt think anymore. One last push and he was
at her throat again, finishing what the demon had started.

He felt the arms go around his shoulders and her body press
against his. She was so little! How could he be doing this?
She rested her head in the curve of his neck and she relaxed,
taking comfort from her killer.

This was making him sick. A burning in his gut made him feel
like he was going to throw up. When her arms went limp, he
released him self and moved aside, not wanting to defile her
any further.

His stomach ruptured, and he screamed again with the flames
lapping at his insides. This hadnÆt happened the last time he
got his soul back. Maybe he was dying. Maybe theyÆd let him
die. The blood curdled in his mouth, but he refused to spit her
life out. Blackness swallowed him.
