  29. SUMMARY: Angel is Angelus and has killed Ms. Calendar. Pretty much, this just
  30. shows how strong AngelÆs and BuffyÆs love is. Oh, and this isnÆt your regular
  31. restoration story. This gets sad, so if you are not into that kind of thing,
  32. donÆt read it.

  39.     Angel and Buffy had spent the rest of the day cleaning out AngelÆs
  40. appartment, saying goodbyes, and groping. It was 7:56; two minutes until he
  41. was gone.
  42.     "Angel, I donÆt want to let you go."
  43.     "I donÆt want to let you go either."
  44.     "Buffy, I love you. IÆve loved you since the day I met you. I donÆt regret
  45. one bit this decision, or any decision youÆve made for that matter." 
  46.     "I love you too. I-"
  47.     Suddenly life started to drain from this face. "Kiss me," he whispered,
  48. "donÆt say goodbye."
  49.     And so she did just that. One small kiss on his lips, and his eyes closed.
  50.     "Angel!" she shrieked. "NO!" A burst of tears fell down her face. She held
  51. her face in her hands and noticed her ring. As she started looking for her
  52. cross, she found a key to her drawer. She opened it up and saw the gun. On a
  53. piece of paper, she scribbled something and left it on the desk. Her hands
  54. picked up the gun. She pulled back the hammer and stuck it to her head. Her
  55. eyes closed, she pulled the trigger and fell into AngelÆs arms, where she
  56. would live forever.

  58. Angel: Is there a problem, ma'am?
  59. Buffy:  Yeah, there's a problem. Why are you following me?
  60. Angel:  I know what you're thinking. Don't worry, I don't biteàTruth is, I
  61. thought you'd be taller, or bigger muscles and all that. You're pretty spry,
  62. though. 
  63. Buffy:  What do you want?
  64. Angel:  The same thing you do.
  65. Buffy:  Okay. What do I want?
  66. Angel:  To kill them. To kill them all.
  67. Buffy:  Sorry, that's incorrectàWhat I want is to be left alone!àWho are you?
  68. Angel:  Let's just say... I'm a friend.
  69. Buffy:  Yeah, well, maybe I don't want a friend.
  70. Angel:  I didn't say I was yours.

  72. Angel:  Look, I don't wanna get you in any more trouble...
  73. Buffy:  And I don't wanna get you deadà So, uh, oh... two of us, one bed.
  74. That doesn't work. Um, why don't you take the bed?  Y'know, you're wounded...

  76. Buffy:  Uh, no, that's not...
  77. Angel:  Oh, believe me, I've had worse.
  78. Angel: Y-you even look pretty when you go to sleep.
  79. Buffy:  Well, when I wake up it's an entirely different story.
  80. Buffy:  Here.  Sleep tight.
  81. Buffy:  Angel?
  82. Angel:  Hm?
  83. Buffy:  Do you snore?
  84. Angel:  I don't know.  It's been a long time since anybody's been in a
  85. position to let me know.

  88. Buffy:  I just wanted to be a real girl for once.  The kind of fancy girl you
  89. liked when you were my age.
  90. Angel: Oh, ho.
  91. Buffy:  What?
  92. Angel:  I hated the girls back then.  Especially the noble women.
  93. Buffy: You did.
  94. Angel:  They were just incredibly dull.  Simpering morons, a lot of 
  95. them.  I always wished I could meet someone... exciting. Interesting.
  96. Buffy:  Really?  Interesting how?
  97. Angel:  You know how.
  98. Buffy:  Still, I had a really hard day.  You should probably tell me.
  99. Angel: You're right.  I should.
  100. Buffy: Definitely.

  102. Angel:  When was the last time you put on your skates?
  103. Buffy: About a couple of hundred demons ago.
  104. Angel: There's a rink out past route 17, it's... closed on Tuesdays.

  114. Buffy:  No!  Your eye!
  115. She reaches back up to him and he shakes her off.
  116. Buffy:  Hey!  Don't be a baby.  I'm not gonna hurt you.
  117. Angel:  It's not that.  I...
  118. Buffy:  What?
  119. Angel:  You shouldn't have to touch me when I'm like this.
  120. Buffy:  Oh. I didn't even notice.

  125. Buffy: Angel... I feel like I lost you...  You're right, though.  We can't be

  171.     Giles had woken up just in time to hear the gun shot. He had run from Mrs.
  172. SummerÆs room, where he had been laid, to BuffyÆs room. He was shocked at the
  173. sight in front of him. A dead, bloody Buffy lay on Angel, who had her blood
  174. splattered on his face. He noticed the gun in BuffyÆs hand, and was utterly
  175. confused. He then remembered his death and was even more perplexed.
  176.     Mrs. SummerÆs, Xander, Willow, and Cordelia ran into the room. Cordelia and
  177. Mrs. SummerÆs shrieked, Willow cried, Xander was in shock. 
  178.     Finally, Giles noticed the note on the desk. He read it silently to himself.
  179.  
  180. Dear Giles,
  181.        I know that you are probably confused and upset; and you every reason to
  182. be. IÆll try to explain this as best I can:
  183.     Angelus murdered everyone: you, Willow, Xander, Cordelia, and Mom. I found
  184. something Willow had been working on on her computer: the Restoration
  185. Ceremony. I permormed it and AngelÆs soul was not only returned, but the demon
  186. left. 
  187.     He had a choice though, to either be human for the rest of his life, or to
  188. have all that he killed since the last full moon live and he perish. He chose
  189. to die.
  190.     I didnÆt know how to go on without him. I couldnÆt go on without him. IÆm
  191. with him now, in heaven. IÆm sorry, Giles. Sorry I couldnÆt say goodbye; sorry
  192. that I needed to say goodbye. 
  193.     Tell Mom I love her, and that Angelus killed me. Ironically, its the truth.
  194. Tell Will and Xander that they were terrific friends, and I appreciated that.
  195. I love you, and IÆll never forget you. Have a great life, and make sure to
  196. take care of the new Slayer just as well as you did me.

  199.     As it was supposed to happen, Kendra took over as Slayer. Giles, not needing
  200. to be a Watcher, left for England. Xander and Cordelia were married and
  201. divorced-twice. Willow and Oz had been married, but Oz had joined the army and
  202. died in battle. She and Xander had gotten married later on in life and had one
  203. child. None of them ever forgot Buffy or Angel or the Hellmouth. But, as life
  204. went on, the pain became less.

  278. Xander questioned.

  280. Xander, Cordelia, and Buffy were sitting at one of the tables 
  281. in the Bronze, while Willow and Oz were off dancing.

  283. Buffy broke her longing gaze off of the entrance of the Bronze 
  284. to answer Xander.

  286. "He said he'd be here," she answered with a grin.
  287.  
  288. "Well it's good to have him back," he commented.
  289.  
  290. Buffy stared at him with a look of confusion etched upon her face.
  291.  
  292. "What? There's no more Angelus running around trying to kill us, 
  293. and it's nice to see you happy again. Therefore I can deal with 
  294. dead boy," he pointed out.
  295.  
  296. Buffy shook her head at Xander's change in attitude towards Angel, 
  297. and chuckled slightly.
  298.  
  299. "Buffy," Willow called, as she approached the table with Oz in tow. 
  300. "Look who's here," she observed, as she pointed towards the entrance.

  302. Buffy immediately knew who Willow was talking about, so when 
  303. she turned her head to where she was looking, she wasn't surprised 
  304. to see Angel making his way towards her. A wide smile spread 
  305. across both their features when their eyes locked, and everything 
  306. around them ceased to exist.
  307.  
  308. "Hi," she greeted, when he approached the table, giving him a 
  309. loving kiss on the lips.
  310.  
  311. "Hey," he replied, while taking a seat beside Buffy, and sneaking 
  312. her hand into his.
  313.  
  314.  He greeted the others, albeit awkwardly, and they returned it. 
  315. Things between the slayerettes and Angel had gotten better, but 
  316. they still felt uncomfortable around each other. Time was needed 
  317. to heal open wounds, and to regain the trust that was lost between 
  318. them when Angel reverted to his former self. However, the ties that 
  319. bind there friendship together will triumph in the end. 
  320.  
  321. "Will you take a walk with me?" Angel asked Buffy after a few 
  322. moments of silence around the table.
  323.  
  324. Buffy smiled at him once again and nodded in agreement. She 
  325. stood up, and Angel helped her put on her jacket. Then he stood 
  326. as well. He headed over to the door, and waited patiently while 
  327. she talked to her friends. After Buffy said her goodbyes, she 
  328. hooked her arm through Angel's, and leaned her head against 
  329. his shoulder as the couple made their way out into the cool night air. 
  330. "I haven't seen her smile like that in a long time," Willow conceded.
  331.  
  332. "Yeah, it's good to see her happy, once again," Cordelia added.
  333.  
  334. "C'mon let's dance," Xander offered. 
  335.  
  336. Oz, Willow, Xander, and Cordelia went out onto the dance floor, 
  337. and let themselves have some fun for the first time in weeks.
