  1. MATH.ZIP contains Jon Maber's ToolBook application
  2. which attempts to convey some basic concepts to
  3. first year biological science students of average
  4. mathematical ability (i.e. innumerate).

  9. The file has been updated (as of 19th Oct 1993).  Mostly
  10. this has been cosmetic (equations have been put in using
  11. metafiles instead of bitmaps for example.)

  13. It has an email feature now which was put in to provide data
  14. logging.  It relies on you having pegasus mail on your network.
  15. For this reason I have disabled the feature on the version of
  16. the software on this archive but you may contact me if you wish to
  17. have this enabled on your network.  (or adapted for use with 
  18. another email program.)

  20. There is also a simple facility for email messages.  The book has
  21. the a small directory of tutors addresses and the user can type their
  22. message and send without the need to start up a mail program or to
  23. exit the maths book.
