ITU-T RECOMMENDATION SUMMARY
Rec. No. : G.707
Title : Synchronous digital hierarchy bit rates
Study Group : XV - Transmission Systems and Equipment
Version : Revised
Date of adoption : 1991
Notes :
The CCITT recommends:
- that the first level of the synchronous digital hierarchy
shall be 155 520 kbit/s;
- that higher synchronous digital hierarchy bit rates shall
be obtained as integer multiples of the first level bit
rate;
- that higher synchronous digital hierarchy levels should be
denoted by the corresponding multiplication factor of the
first level rate;
that the bit rates 155 520 kbit/s (1st level),
622 080 kbit/s (level 4) and 2 488 320 (level 16) should constitute
the synchronous digital hierarchy.
