  1.             HOW TO CREATE AND DELETE OUTLINE ELEMENTS

  4.  A. To create a new outline element below and on the same level as
  5.     the current element, choose Create New Outline Entry from the
  6.     Outline Menu.  Remember that you can also create a new outline
  7.     element by pressing Alt-OC or ^N.
  8.  
  9.  B. Immediately after creating a new outline element and before you
  10.     press any other keys, the outline number will show in reverse
  11.     video.  You can move that outline element with the arrow keys.
  12.     Try it.  Create a new outline element and then press the arrow
  13.     keys to move it to a new level.  Note how the outline elements
  14.     are always automatically renumbered as you move the newly created
  15.     element around.

  17.     1. Press the right arrow key, and the new element will become a
  18.        child (subentry) of the element above it.
  19.     2. Press the left arrow key, and the new element will again go
  20.        back to the level where you created it.
  21.     3. Press the down arrow key, and the new element will switch
  22.        places with the element below it.
  23.     4. Press the up arrow key, and the new element will switch places
  24.        with the element above it.

  26.  C. To delete an outline element, position the cursor in the element
  27.     to delete and choose Delete Outline Entries from the Outline
  28.     Menu.  Remember that you can also delete an outline element by
  29.     pressing Alt-OD or ^D.  You must confirm this function by
  30.     pressing Enter.  Try deleting the children of this element.

  32.     1. Delete this element.
  33.     2. Then delete this element.
  34.     3. Then delete this element.
