  1. This shareware version of TrainingBase is limited to a maximum of 50 records in
  2. your database. To receive an unlimited copy of TrainingBase, a manual, technical
  3. support, notification of special upgrade offers, and the undying gratitude of the
  4. programmer, you must register.

  6. To register your copy of TrainingBase:

  8. Send $20 + $5 shipping and handling ($8 outside of the U.S. and Canada) California residents
  9. add sales tax along with an order form to: (Order forms can be 
  10. printed by selecting Registration from the help menu and Printing
  11. the order form topic of the help file.)

  17. This product is shareware and is protected by copyright laws.  You may try out
  18. the software and freely distribute it for that purpose.  If you decide to use the
  19. product you must register it at the above address.

  21. To install TrainingBase on your hard disk:
  22.  
  23.     1. Unzip Tbase2.zip to a temporary directory.
  24.     2. Choose the Run command from the File menu in Windows Program Manager or
  25.        File Manager.
  26.     3. Type "c:\temp\setup.exe" (substitute the appropriate drive and directory for your
  27.        temporary directory).
  28.     4. Press Enter.
  29.     5. Follow the on screen prompts.

  32. SHARE.EXE:
  33.  
  34.     In order to load a database you must run share.exe from your autoexec.bat file.
  35.     Please add the following line to your autoexec.bat file:
  36.  
  37.         "Path" share.exe /L:500  Where "Path" is the location of share.exe.
  38.         (Example "c:\dos\share.exe /L:500")
  39.  
  40.     Note: A copy of share.exe should be present in your dos directory, if the name of your
  41.     dos directory is different from that above change the command appropriately. If you are 
  42.     running Windows For Workgroups in enhanced mode you do not need to add share.exe to
  43.     your autoexec.bat file. If you used the setup program to add share to to your auto-
  44.     exec.bat file it assumes your dos directory is c:\dos. If this is incorrect you will
  45.     need to manually edit your autoexec.bat to show the correct path.

  47. WRONG VERSION ERRORS:
  48.     
  49.     If you receive an error message when you attempt to run TrainingBase saying that
  50.     a file, particularly any file with a ".vbx" extension, is out of date or the wrong
  51.     version take the following steps.
  52.     
  53.     1. Remove any copies of the file currently on your hard drive by moving them to
  54.        a floppy disk. The file will most likely be in your windows\system directory.
  55.     2. Rerun TrainingBase setup to install the correct version of the file.
  56.  
  57.     This error occurs because the file is corrupt, read only, or has some other problem
  58.     which prevents the setup program from coping over it.
  59.  
  60. VBRUN300.DLL:
  61.  
  62.     The file "vbrun300.dll must be in your windows system directory to run the setup program
  63.     and to run TrainingBase. This file is not included in Tbase2.zip to save space as many users
  64.     will already have this file. This file is necessary to run any program written in Visual Basic
  65.     3.0. You may download this file from many of the forums on Compuserve or America Online.

  67. INTERNATIONAL DATES:
  68.  
  69.     You may use TrainingBase with other than U.S. date formats if you do not show the century
  70.     in the short date format. (95 not 1995) To turn off the century use the Windows Control
  71.     Panel and select the international icon. In the international settings dialog under Date
  72.     Format click the Change ... button. Make sure the Century check box is unchecked in the
  73.     Short Date Format settings. Select Ok to make the change.
