  7.   First of all, thank you for choosing to become a sustaining member of SDF!
  8.   Its greatly appreciated.  MetaARPA membership means you are a trusted
  9.   user, and with that, there is responsibility you gain with your membership.

  11.            MetaARPA members may connect to 'sverige.freeshell.org'

  13.   This message is to serve as a quick reference to the commands you can 
  14.   now use under MetaARPA.  For more detailed information, check out the 
  15.   'faq' or post on the 'bboard'.

  18.                        New commands and what they do
  19.           ---------------------------------------------------------

  21.   mkcron   -  This allows you to install and edit a crontab or maintainence
  22.               job which will run at a specific time whether you are logged
  23.               in or not.  You can run this command from any host.  Please
  24.               note that cronjobs are not meant to be used as keep alives,
  25.               especially in the use of an IRC channel bot or similar.

  27.   mdns     -  Update DNS.  This allows you to set the IP address for your
  28.               MetaDNS feature (login.mdns.org).
  29.  
  30.   setvmail -  setvmail allows you to toggle on or off any SDF domain you'd
  31.               like to receive or block email from.  This helps you by allowing
  32.               you to have a unique email address and gives you the ability to
  33.               potentially block unwanted spam.
  34.  
  35.   setgrp   -  setgrp allows you to add/remove users from your personal 
  36.               user's group.  You can use this to allow certain people
  37.               access to a particular file or directory.
  38.   
  39.   validate -  validate allows you to promote a new or prevalidated user to
  40.               validated status.  This sets their shell to '/bin/ksh' and
  41.               gives them normal user access to SDF.

  43.   ssh service is available to MetaARPA members on port 443 using the hosts
  44.   otaku, vinland or gronland (and possibly others).  It can be used as a
  45.   way to get into SDF if you are using a site that firewalls the standard
  46.   port 22.  Another feature you have is SSH tunneling/ TCP forwarding. 
  47.   Basically, you can use this feature to tunnel a connection through the
  48.   SDF Secure Shell service.  What this will do is encrypt your packets
  49.   through encapsulation of the SSH protocol so you can secure http, pop3
  50.   and other connections to any remote host on the internet.

  52.   To the remote host, your origin will appear to be sdf.lonestar.org.  Because
  53.   of this, we ask you (and we believe you won't) not to use this feature as a 
  54.   shield while you attempt to gain access to a site you are unauthorised to 
  55.   connect to or while you shoot your mouth off on an IRC channel.  Again, 
  56.   you are trusted and we don't believe you will, but we have to mention it.
