COMMENT:<em>Un</em>critical reflections, concerned mainly to use psychical research to defend religion against the evils of materialism and positivism. The contributers are philosophers and scholars of religion, invariably credulous enough to accept even animal psi evidence or past-life regressions. The result is a theological/metaphysical mush seasoned with skeptic-bashing. Worth looking at as an example of defenses of the paranormal some humanities scholars might take seriously.
