  8. This forwarded page concerning the Bay Area FreeBSD UG Install-a-thon
  9. event is NOT listed in BALE. Also the info about "Admission is free but
  10. lot parking is $5.00." is outdated. Starting in October, admission is
  11. $5.00 for Adults and something like $2.00 for children if you have not
  12. preregistered about a week in advance thru Robert Austin's website
  13. ( www.robertaustin.com ).

  27.    The next FreeBSD Install-a-thon will be held on October 24th at the
  28.    Cow Palace in Daly City. The Install-a-thon will be held in
  29.    conjunction with The Robert Austin Computer Show which runs from 10am
  30.    to 4pm. Admission is free but lot parking is $5.00.

  32.    Bring us your tired, you poor, your trashed installations and we'll
  33.    fix them! Don't bother to bring your keyboard or monitor as we will
  34.    have spares at the show to work with.

  36.    We will have copies of FreeBSD 2.2.6 to be distributed. We are asking
  37.    everyone getting a copy, please donate $5.00 to BAFUG (Bay Area
  38.    FreeBSD Users Group). With every donation we will also be including a
  39.    3 floppy set that includes install, fixit and Pico-FreeBSD floppies.

  41.    We could use some help with borrowing hardware and doing installs. If
  42.    you feel like helping out drop either Ian Kallen, Jan Koum, Josef
  43.    Grosch or Nicole Harrington email.

  51.           + From the South Bay and Peninsula
  52.             From 280; come north toward San Francisco. Take 380 East to
  53.             101 and then take 101 North. Exit at the Brisbane/Cow Palace
  54.             exit. Follow the signs for the Cow Palace and turn left onto
  55.             Geneva Ave.
  56.             From 101; Follow 101 North to San Francisco. Exit at the
  57.             Brisbane/Cow Palace exit. Follow the signs for the Cow Palace
  58.             and turn left onto Geneva Ave.
  59.           + From the East Bay
  60.             Take the Bay Bridge West to San Francisco. Follow the signs
  61.             to 101 and get on 101 going South. Continue South till the
  62.             Brisbane/Cow Palace exit. Follow the signs for the Cow Palace
  63.             and turn right onto Geneva Ave.

  65.             Take the Golden Gate Bridge South in to San Francisco.
  66.             Continue South on Highway 1 which, after a jog thru Golden
  67.             Gate Park, turns into 19th Ave. Stay on 19th Ave. until Ocean
  68.             Ave. Turn left onto Ocean Ave which becomes Geneva Ave.
