  2. 'Coca-Cola' originated in Atlanta, Georgia on 8 May 1886. Pharmacist Dr John Styth Pemberton stirred up a fragrant caramel-coloured syrup in a brass kettle in his backyard and took a jug of his formulation to Jacob's Pharmacy. Carbonated water was mixed with the new syrup and refreshment history was made! Today 'Coca-Cola' is available in nearly 200 countries around the world.
