Subject: bloodlines:food for thought
Just a few Bloodlines to keep players on their toes ...
Bubanos - who knows when exactly they appeared or if they are still around,
mostly all major plagues can be attributed to this group. It is
believed that the Bubanos came originally from a perversion of the
Salubri, as they have similiar powers. The difference lies in that
their discipline causes injury instead of healing. The weakness of
the clan is that those they drink from become sick. Members of this
clan are hated more than salubri do to the fact they can cause
vampire lethal disease. It is rumored that the sabbat has decided to
forgo the usual hatred and has adopted a few of the Plague-bearers
into their ranks.
Yuunei - Japanese vampire who specializes in spirit powers. Their clan
discipline allows the vampire to manipulate the silver cord.
First level - Spirit sight. Second - Whip of the sliver cord.
And so on. At present Yuunei try to avoid contact with Western
vampires (except in Hong Kong, and parts of california).
Chincada - In india several thousand years ago a methuselah, after studying
much Eastern philosophy, learned a form similiar to Protean which
he named Locus. Mainly it is the ability to attune to insects.
Level 2 - scorpions claws - grow really small claws that do damage
that requires 2 BP to heal, or twice as long for mortals.
Level 3 - 7 year sleep (variation on earth meld - just for longer time)
Level 5 - Form of the swarm. Allows you to become a swarm of insects
which for purposes of combat:
Can feed
Takes 2x damage from sunlight/fire/explosions
Takes 1/2 damages from all else
Well these are just a few ideas of come up with, only the Bubanos has been used
and most players now avoid the sabbat (and I thought they were upset about the
sabbat assimite). The others are just ideas I'm still fleshing out (pardon the
pun) and wouldn't mind input in making.
Few questions to make this letter longer
1) Was it Treme who killed Saulot? The book seems to imply that.
2) Who exactly can use 10th level discipline? I thought that anyone
reaching Golconda could, otherwise how do the salubri work?
3) Just how many Licks does it take to get to the center of a lupine pup?

Just a few more ideas that I have started and wouldn't mind getting advice on
Abakyu - A japanese vampire that has only recently come into existance
(within the past 40 years), believed to be started by a band of
caitiffs. The discipline ( Mechina - for lack of a better term)
alows the vampire certain links with machines of all types.
Level 1 - Sense machine -Can sense machines in the area. The more
complex the easier to sense (works throught things like
walls and clothes)
Level 2 - Understand machines. Allows the players to use machines
better. Players can add there Mechina score to repairs
and rolls to operate machines.
Level 3 - dunno
Level 4 - talk to machines. This allows the players to be one with
machines. They can get information from computers. Convince
guns to fire (but can't aim), and such
Level 5 - Alter machine - can physically change the machine.
On a stranger vein I've been working also on a concept for a Druiducal vampire
that tried to escape the curse
Herbium - power to commune with nature
Level 1 - Sense plants. Allows the player to feel what plants feel
(is good for detecting forest fires or finding if someone
trampled them recently)
Level 2 - Vitea from sap. Allows the vampire to feed off of trees
as if they were animals. (It's mystical, don't ask how)
Level 3 - Tree meld - Like earth meld ... just with a tree
Of course with each level of Herbium you get your skin turns greener.
Both of the above bloodlines and the previous 3 I posted are considered
very rare (maybe less than 10 in existance) and it's not recommended to have
them all appear in the same city (although you could)
For snicks and giggles
Buffoni - Strange bloodline belived to have stemmed from Malkavians
Their discipline Clownerious allows them to do strange and mystical
things .... but only when it's funny
Level 1 - Sense Humor
Level 2 - Instant Pie
Level 3 - Car meld (allows several Buffoni to enter a vehical at once)
Level 4 - Juggle - hey this is difficult
Of course the faces of buffoni are Very white .. except for the lips which
tend to be a bright cheerful red.
The buffoni are believe to be trying to start an organization called the
Clownmarrila but are encountering problems with copy right infringement.
