PROGRAM NAME: Nahlakh
VERSION: 1.15 - Released 8/5/94
AUTHOR: Tom Proudfoot
P.O. Box 180
Brentwood, CA 94513
CONTACT: Tom Proudfoot, Internet address proudft@uclink.berkeley.edu
SYSTEM REQ'S: IBM PC 286+ with 640k memory, VGA, and a hard drive.
DESCRIPTION:
Nahlakh is an adventure roleplaying game, featuring VGA graphics,
Soundblaster support, and a 200-hour plus solving time. You
control a party of eight characters in their quest to destroy the
demons of Omalin, adventuring through dozens of towns, dungeons, and
caverns. There are more than 300 kinds of monsters, more than 100 spells,
a virtually unlimited number of items (there are 400 base types of
weapons, for example), and a more detailed combat system than most
commercial RPGs. The bloody splats resulting from combat might be
inappropriate for the squeamish.
RESTRICTIONS AND AUTHORIZATIONS FOR DISK VENDORS:
Nahlakh is NOT public domain or "freeware", but is being distributed
as "shareware".
Written permission is not required for distribution of Nahlakh as long
as the following conditions are met:
- All files are included on the vendor's distribution diskette.
These files may not be altered. Files may be added by the vendor
which provide the user with technical assistance, startup
instructions, the vendor's name, etc. No files may be added
which contradict information in the original files.
- No more than a modest distribution fee may be charged by the vendor.
- In its promotional literature, the vendor explains the nature of
the fees paid by the customer and the obligations arising from
continued use of shareware software.
- Operators of electronic bulletin board systems are encouraged to
post Nahlakh for downloading by their users as long as the above
conditions are met (if applicable).
- All vendors or sysops must inform me of the inclusion
of Nahlakh in their catalog. This is done to ensure that the
vendor or sysop has the latest version of Nahlakh. If a vendor
produces a catalog, I would like a copy in order to
verify the accuracy of any descriptions of Nahlakh.
If the above conditions are met, vendors and sysops may distribute Nahlakh
as shareware immediately.
