  92. only a brief description of the package and its features, along with
  93. instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation is
  94. included in the package in the form of a Windows Help file.

  98. Medlin Windows Payroll is the program for you!  This program is very
  99. quick and easy to use.

  102. version includes all features of the program.  You may use it for up to
  103. 30 days, without charge (see MWPR.HLP for more details).  If you like

  129. ===== Installation =====================================

  131. The installation procedure for MWPR - MEDLIN WINDOWS PAYROLL is quite
  132. simple.  The disk package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which
  133. automates the entire process.  MWPR requires less than 1 megabite of
  134. disk space. The program requires no changes to any existing files on
  135. your hard disk.

  137. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  138.  
  139. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  140.  
  141.    o  Place MWPR distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette
  142.       drive. Start Windows.
  143.  
  144.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette,
  145.       either by choosing File/Run from the Program Manager or by
  146.       double clicking on SETUP.EXE from the File Manager.
  147.  
  148.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  149.       The program will ask you for a destination directory, and will
  150.       copy the MWPR files to that directory.  If you so direct it, the
  151.       installation program will install executable programs and
  152.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will not
  153.       modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files or any Windows files.

  157. INSTALLING FROM A ZIP FILE
  158.  
  159. If you downloaded MWPR from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  160. zipped files from some other source), perform the following steps.
  161.  
  162.    o  Use the File Manager or drop to DOS to create a directory on your
  163.       hard drive. You may use any allowable directory name, but we
  164.       recommend MWACCT to be consistent with the setup program supplied
  165.       with the diskette version.  Change directory into the new
  166.       directory.
  167.  
  168.    o  Run the unzip program by typing PKUNZIP MWPR10 from the DOS
  169.      prompt or from the File/Run section of Program Manager.
  170.  
  171.    o  You may run the program directly from File Manager or create a
  172.       program group and a program item using File/New in Program Manager.
  173.       You must have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows System
  174.       directory for the MWPR program to run.  Chances are you already
  175.       do.  If not, you may download VBRUN300.DLL from any BBS.

  179. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the help
  180. file ("MWPR.HLP").  You may read the MWPR.HLP by double clicking it from
  181. the File Manager or by pressing F1 from inside MWPR or by choosing HELP
  182. from the MWPR menu bar.  The help file allows you to read the entire
  183. file sequentually by clicking the >> symbol.
