  5. This package contains the MWPR - MEDLIN WINDOWS PAYROLL (Version 1.0),
  6. by Jerry Medlin, MEDLIN ACCOUNTING SHAREWARE.  This document contains
  7. only a brief description of the package and its features, along with
  8. instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation is
  9. included in the package in the form of a Windows Help file.  Press F1
  10. at any point in the program to get context sensitive help.

  12. If you've ever wished you could easily handle your payroll with a
  13. Windows program, WITHOUT SPENDING TIME READING A MANUAL, then MWPR -
  14. Medlin Windows Payroll is the program for you!  This program is very
  15. quick and easy to use.

  17. MWPR - Medlin Windows Payroll is a shareware program.  This evaluation
  18. version includes all features of the program.  You may use it for up to
  19. 30 days, without charge (see MWPR.HLP for more details).  If you like
  20. the program, and wish to continue its use after this evaluation period,
  21. you are required to pay for the program. Any fee you may have paid to
  22. others (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version
  23. was a fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a
  24. payment for continued use of the program.

  26. ===== Installation =====================================

  28. The installation procedure for MWPR - MEDLIN WINDOWS PAYROLL is quite
  29. simple.  MWPR requires less than 1 megabite of disk space. The program
  30. requires no changes to any existing files on your hard disk.

  33. INSTALLING FROM A ZIP FILE
  34.  
  35. If you downloaded MWPR from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  36. zipped files from some other source), perform the following steps.
  37.  
  38.    o  Use the File Manager or drop to DOS to create a directory on your
  39.       hard drive. You may use any allowable directory name, but we
  40.       recommend MWACCT to be consistent with the setup program supplied
  41.       with the diskette version.  Change directory into the new
  42.       directory.

  44.    o  Run the unzip program by typing PKUNZIP MWPR10 from the DOS
  45.       prompt or from the File/Run section of Program Manager.
  46.  
  47.    o  You may run the program directly from File Manager or create a
  48.       program group and a program item using File/New in Program Manager.
  49.       You must have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows System
  50.       directory for the MWPR program to run.  Chances are you already
  51.       do.  If not, you may download VBRUN300.DLL from any BBS.

  53. YOU'RE READY TO GO

  55. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the help
  56. file ("MWPR.HLP").  You may read the MWPR.HLP by double clicking it from
  57. the File Manager or by pressing F1 from inside MWPR or by choosing HELP
  58. from the MWPR menu bar.  The help file allows you to read the entire
  59. file sequentually by clicking the >> symbol.
