PC ANYWHERE - FASTER CONTROL
If all you need is to access your desktop PC occasionally or
administer a LAN from a remote location, the remote access
package mentioned below is eactly what you need..
Norton pcAnywhere, Version 5.0 for DOS, should do the trick.
Speed is critical in remote control and Symantec's new version
will cut your tranfer times by 20 percent because it provides
better compression. Also, your system should run better when
you use the new host TSR, which frees more conventional
memory on the host PC. From a management perspective, Version
5.0 saves you time with bidirectional gateways that eliminate
the need to maintain incoming and outgoing access points.
New security features such as restricted drive access and
data encryption is also added to version 5.0.
If you have ever used pcAnywhere then you'll feel right at
home. Its a wonderful product and one that I use.
