Contact Scheduler v. 4.15 - Printer/Autodialer Information
Currently CS4 offers the choice of 2 printer options. Epson printers
and Epson printers using the new ESC P2 sequences. While this has little
effect in CS4 (because the printers codes we use now are identical for
each type of Epson printer) it will have a great effect in a future
release when we will incorporate Postal Bar Coding into our label and
envelope printing routines.
The effect in CS4 is to tell the printer whether to use compressed
print or not. Sometimes, company names or addresses in CS4 are longer
than a width of a label. In this case you can set Compressed Print=Y
on the print options sub-menu and CS4 will use your printer selection
to send the proper codes to the printer.
None-the-less, the Select Printer option allows you to set the printer
and the COM port for use with the Autodialer.
The Autodialer accepts COM ports 1 through 8. If you plan to use the
autodialer, enter the phone numbers in the fields as you would dial them.
ANYTHING that is in these fields will appear on the autodialer menu
including area codes, '1-' long distance prefixes, '011 XXX YYY' inter-
national dialing prefixes, etc.
