  3.      DIP  switches  and the ZOOM/Modem....

  5.      The  only  Zoom/modems with dip switches are  the  (current)  European

  7. Zoom/faxmodems, and the old PC modems (full card 1200/2400 circa 1986).

  9.      Zoom/modems have software equivilants of the old dip switches used  on

  11. Hayes  1200  modems (Hayes 2400's also use software). In  the  INSTALLATION

  13. section  of  your  manual there will be a list of the  'old  switches'  and
  14.  
  15. modern software commands to set and save them in NV (non-volatile) RAM.
