  18.         VISUAL GENEALOGY provides the ability to display individuals'
  19.         genealogy from three different viewpoints - his ancestors, his
  20.         descendants and/or his personal data. These views may be displayed
  21.         one at a time or all at once; switching back and forth with the
  22.         touch of a key.  This revision of VISUAL GENEALOGY (5.0) includes
  23.         a built in mechanism for creating or updating Genealogy files,
  24.         converting files to and from GEDCOM format and provisions to print
  25.         any of these viewpoints or to write them to a file for further
  26.         formatting or processing.  It is the new GEDCOM capability that
  27.         makes Visual Genealogy of interest to PAF users.

  29.         The look and feel of this program is very much like that of a
  30.         Macintosh computer or of a Windows application.  It uses only the
  31.         character mode of your computer and therefore does not need any
  32.         graphic display capability. Each of the viewpoints is in a window
  33.         of its own.  A mouse will make the program a little easier to use
  34.         because you can point to the choice you want on the various menus.
  35.         Everything that can be done with the mouse can also be done with
  36.         the keyboard.

  38.         The actual display of genealogical data should be self evident. 
  39.         You can scroll through all the data available, even if it doesn't
  40.         all fit on the screen at one time. You use the mouse and the
  41.         scroll bars at the edge of the window or you use the computer
  42.         directional arrow keys to move up, down or sideways.  The
  43.         appearance of the data in each of the windows can be further
  44.         tailored by using the settings menu.  Here you can choose how many
  45.         generations to show, whether to show the identifying numbers or
  46.         not, or whether to show all the information on each individual or
  47.         just his name and key dates.
