  19.         Sounder is a simple DOS based program that will calculate a
  20.         Soundex code for one or more surnames and place the information in
  21.         a database.  This information can then be viewed on-screen or
  22.         printed in a two-column alphabetized list to be used as a handy
  23.         reference during research.

  25.         Written in Clipper (Summer '87), Sounder creates a "standard" .DBF
  26.         which can be read by most all database programs. Clipper's
  27.         SOUNDEX() function calculates the Soundex code in the program. 
  28.         Note:  Apparently there has been two methods used in the past to
  29.         generate Soundex codes - i.e. - the U.S. government uses one
  30.         method in generating Soundex Cards and the more recent Tafel
  31.         utility uses another.  Apparently Clipper uses the government's
  32.         method.  Please report any discrepancies.
