  18.         The Personal Ancestry File (PAF) genealogy system marketed by The
  19.         Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints is the most
  20.         popular genealogy program on the market today.  One of its
  21.         shortcomings, however, it that it offers no way to search its
  22.         files for marriage data.  MARRIAGE SEARCH WAS WRITTEN to overcome
  23.         this problem.  The  following is a brief listing of the options:

  25.         1. Path - lets you enter the path to the PAF files and save it for
  26.            later usage if desired.
  27.  
  28.         2. Location - allows the user to enter a marriage location for
  29.            which to limit the search.  For instance if you enter al in the
  30.            location field, marriages from ALabama; MarshALl Co., TN;
  31.            ALice, TX;  etc. would be found if they were in the files.

  33.         3. Low date - allows the user to set a lower date for which to
  34.            limit the search.
  35.  
  36.         4. High date - allows the user to set an upper date for which to
  37.            limit the search.

  39.         5. Groom's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  40.            a name) for which to limit the search.

  42.         6. Bride's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  43.            a name) for which to limit the search.

  45.         7. Output - allows the user to direct the output to screen, disk,
  46.            or printer.
