  7.         FRASC converts the information in your PAF files into standard
  8.         ASCII format to make it usable by other programs.

  19.         FRASC  converts  PAF  Family Records  data  into  a standard 
  20.         ASCII  data  format  that  can  be  loaded by  database management
  21.         programs such as  dBASE III and spreadsheets such as Excel or
  22.         Lotus 123.  There are two possible formats for the converted data: 
  23.         CSV and fixed length.   In delimited format each field is begun
  24.         and ended with a quote mark, and the fields are  separated by
  25.         commas.  In  the fixed length format each field is  placed in  a
  26.         fixed  length field,  forming  columns  of  data.

  28.         Four files are produced:
  29.         (1) FR.IND with data from the individual file
  30.         (2) FR.MAR which contains data from the file of marriages
  31.         (3) FR.NOT  containing  data from the notes file
  32.         (4) FR.EVT with event records

  34.         The fields in each of the files is detailed in FRASC's
  35.         documentation, also showing the  maximum  length of  each field.

  37.         The functions in FRASC have been incorporated into the same
  38.         author's Family Records Utilities (FRU) available in both
  39.         shareware and commercial versions.

  41.         NOTE: The documentation for FRASC contains an outdated address for
  42.         the author.  Also note that the FRASC functionality is included in
  43.         the commercial version of FRU from the same author.
