  11.     INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

  13.        1 1/2    cup   Brown sugar - light                               
  14.        1 1/2    cup   Sugar - white                                     
  15.        1        cup   Water - cold                                      
  16.        1/2      cup   Nuts - chopped                                    
  17.        1        Tbsp  Vinegar                                           
  18.        2        ea    Egg whites                                        
  19.        1/4      tsp   Salt                                              
  20.        1        tsp   Vanilla

  22.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  24.     Boil sugar, water and vinegar to soft ball stage. Remove from fire.   
  25.     Beat egg whites and salt until stiff. When syrup has stopped bubbling,
  26.     pour gradually into egg whites and beat well. When it begins to       
  27.     stiffen, add vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful on wax paper. Makes
  28.     2 dozen.
