NATIONAL ONLINE MEDIA ASSOCIATION (NOMA)
During the course on ONE BBSCON 93, a convention held August
25 through 29, 1993, meetings were held that determined that an
association for our BBS industry was needed.
In a meeting held, open to all convention attendees, it was
decided to form an industry association called the National Online
Media Association (NOMA).
It was also decided that the mission of our association is to
provide our industry with:
A) A political voice (local and national).
B) Education.
C) Industry standards.
D) Membership Services.
E) Ethics Guidelines.
F). Financial and other industry statistics.
G) Industry marketing & promotion.
An organization committee was elected by the convention
attendees. This committee shall develop a proposal for the
association charter, bylaws, membership, dues, structure and form
of leadership. This proposal is to be completed by November 30,
1993. The committee members are:

city/state law enforcement agency's. With no ON THE BOOKS LAWS
to govern the BBS industry & no representation in Washington,
DC.... it is time for an association... "NOMA"
