  9.  SatisFAXtion/100:
  10.  Intel's lab tested this software (versions 3.1 & 5.x) with the
  11.  SatisFAXtion/100 board, and it is compatible.

  13.  SatisFAXtion/400:
  14.  Intel's lab tested this software (versions 4.2 & 5.x) with the
  15.  SatisFAXtion/400 board, and it is compatible.

  17.  Intel Modems:
  18.  This program is compatible with Intel modems.
  19.  
  20.  Configuring the Program:
  21.  The first time you run Qmodem it automatically takes you to the "Setup
  22.  Menu".  After the first time, use <ALT-N> to call up the "Setup Menu".

  24.  o    Press  M  to select the Modem menu
  25.  o    Press  Q  to select "Quick Modem Config"
  26.       -    Highlight the Intel modem selection that best describes your
  27.            modem then press <ENTER>
  28.                 Intel 9600EX V32 with V.42bis
  29.                      For: 9600EX, 14.4EX, SatisFAXtion 400 & 400E
  30.                 Intel 2400EX MNP
  31.                      For: 2400 baud Intel modems
  32.  o    A configuration screen will now ask:
  33.       -    "Send these commands to the modem [Y/N]?"
  34.       -    Select  Y  for yes
  35.  
  36.  o    Press  C  to select "Communications Parameters"
  37.       -    Press  A  to select "Default baud rate"
  38.       -    Highlight the baud rate for your modem then press <ENTER>

  47.       -       Press  J  to select "Serial Port"
  48.       -    Type the number of the COM port of your modem and press <ENTER>
  49.       -    Press <ESCAPE>

  51.  o    Press  M  to select "Modem Commands"
  52.       -    Press  I  to select "Initialization Command"
  53.       -    Type  ATZ^M  then press <ENTER>.
  54.       -    Press <ESCAPE>

  56.  NOTE:     QMODEM Comes with COM1 and COM2 defined, but COM3 and COM4 are
  57.            undefined. If you installed your modem on COM3 or COM4, use the
  58.            following commands to define the address and IRQ for COM3 or
  59.            COM4. If you installed your modem on COM1 or COM2, skip over
  60.            this section to the next.

  62.  o    If you installed your modem on COM3 or COM4, press  P  to select
  63.       "Port Addresses" then follow these instructions:
  64.       -    Highlight the "Base" address of your modem's COM port then
  65.            <ENTER>
  66.       -    Type 0, your modem's 3 digit address (3E8 for COM3 or 2E8 for
  67.            COM4), then press <ENTER>
  68.       -    Highlight the "IRQ" of your modem's COM port then <ENTER>
  69.       -    Type your modem's IRQ number then <ENTER>
  70.       -    Press <ESCAPE> twice
  71.  
  72.  o    Press  H  to select "Host" options menu.
  73.       -    Press  I  to select "Init Command".
  74.       -    Type  ATZS0=1^M  (delete any extra characters) then <ENTER>.
  75.       NOTE:     For Intel faxmodems, the number following "S0=" should
  76.                 match the number of rings you specified in the SatisFAXtion
  77.                 SETUP program.
  78.       -    Press  A  to select "Answer Command" then delete  ATA^M  and
  79.            leave the field blank.
  80.       -    Press <ESCAPE>
  81.  
  82.  o    Press  M  to select "Modems"
  83.       -    Press  T  to select "Toggles"
  84.       -    Set the following option for your modem:
  85.                                  non-MNP   MNP    V.42bis

  88.            CTS/RTS signal          OFF     ON       ON

  93.            16550 UART enable      [ ON if you have one ]
  94.            INIT ignores CD         ON      ON       ON
  95.       -    <ESCAPE> twice
  96.  
  97.  o    Press  E  to select "Exit"
  98.       -    Press  S  to select "Save changes"
  99.  
  100.  o    Now configure your modem.
  101.       -    In terminal mode, enter the correct command for your modem:
  102.                 Intel V.42bis modems (1,2): AT&F&W <ENTER>
  103.                 Intel 2400B MNP modems (3): AT&F\N3\Q3\J0&W <ENTER>
  104.                 Intel non-MNP modems (4)  : AT&F&C1&D2&W <ENTER>
