  26. |    When using a MODEM SHARE DEVICE you must also change                       
  27. |    the device driver entry in CONFIG.SYS to use                               
  28. |    the #Y parameter.

  32. |    One of the symptoms is that when SDLC is setup                             
  33. |    as FULL DUPLEX, none of the other devices on the                           
  34. |    multi drop line can get a poll and will be hung.

  36. |    You may also see the following message                                     
  37. |    ACS2363 ALERT: The local node has detected                                 
  38. |    an inactive link condition and has deactivated                             
  39. |    the SDLC communication link.                                               
  40. |                                                                               
  41. |    When LINE MODE Half-duplex is used, it allows Line                         
  42. |    Turnaround to occur and will toggle the RTS line to                        
  43. |    allow other stations to communicate.                                       
  44. |    When LINE MODE Full-duplex is used. Request To Send                        
  45. |    will stay high all the time and no other                                   
  46. |    devices will communicate.                                                  
  47. |                                                                               
  48. |    The SDLC adapter and MPCA adapter supported by                             
  49. |    Communications Manager/2 do not support                                    
  50. |    full-duplex data transfer.  However, by                                    
  51. |    selecting Full-duplex, an SDLC adapter can be configured                   
  52. |    to operate efficiently on a full-duplex line.  If the                      
  53. |    line is full-duplex and is multi point or multi drop,                      
  54. |    you must set up Communications Manager/2
