This program is shareware.
(This file is the same as PREBERI.ME)
Hello!
I am glad you have decided to try Windows Mail Manager (WMM).
I hope you will like it, and register it. You will find registration
form in help file. In the second half of this file you will find
instructions for installing and upgrading the program. Remember, if
you do not have VBRUN200.DLL on your hard disk, you will need one.
WMM is Windows mail reader (QWK packets) with folowing features:
- message base - WMM stores messages in a base, so you can read them or
reply to them later; there is one base for each BBS
- windows help file - gives you context sensitive help
- almost everything can be done with keyboard and mouse, as well
- deletes duplicates - WMM can search for duplicated messages in
message base and mark them to be deleted
- address list - you connect a person with a conference and his fidonet
address, and that you can select him from list box, when
writing a reply
- carbon copies - you can post message, you wrote, to other addresses
- forwarding - WMM allows you to put a message someone else has written
to another conference (to notify readers of that conference)
- user-selected editor - simple editor, which will arrange lines if too long
- auto heading & ending of replies - you can write the text that appears
on the begining or at the end of each reply, forwarded message
- adds fidonet addresses to replies - you select in which conferences and
how to put fidonet address, which WMM tnah obtains from
message you are replying to
- library - you can add special messages to a library and add keywords
to them, so you can easily find them later
- twit filter - you can make a list of disliked persons and WMM will
spare you from their messages
- printing, saving to a file and copying message to clipboard
- WMM can be translated to any language, supported by Windows - see help
- user definable colors - different colors for different kind of messages
- and others, you'll find out yourself
There is also WMM Tools, to help you convert WMM message base
back to QWK packet, and Papirus, a small editor, which keeps lines
under 72 chars limit.
***** IMPORTANT *****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====
Files that should be in the packet:
* README.1ST This file
* PREBERI.ME Same as this file, on Slovene
* HISTORY.TXT The history of this program
SETUP.EXE Setup program, runs under Windows
SETUP.DAT Setup information
* WMM.EXE WMM program file
* WMM.HLP Windows help file
* JQWK.DLL DLL for this program
* WMMTOOLS.EXE WMM Tools program file
* PAPIRUS.EXE A small editor
* TAGLINE.TXT Some taglines
* ENGLISH.LNE Example language file for WMM
* ENGLISH.LE1 Example language file for WMM Tools
* ENGLISH.LE2 Example language file for Papirus
FILE_ID.DIZ Program description for BBS
* LHISTORY.TXT The history of .lng file
NOTE: language files are AN EXAMPLE, you do not need them in order
to have english WMM. That is why they are named .LNE, .LE1 etc. and not
.LNG, .LN1 etc. as it is required for proper action.
***** INSTALATION *****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====
If you do not have VBRUN200.DLL, you will need one. You should
find it on the nearest BBS. Put it in the same directory as files
listed above. If there is already vbrun200.dll in your windows directory,
you don't need one.
Run setup.exe from Windows. Setup will copy files marked with * to
selected directory and (unless one is already there) VBRUN200.DLL to
windows directory. It will also create WMM group in Program Manager.
Then run WMM and set options in Options|General and Options|Replies,
BEFORE doing anything else. Survival Guide topic of help will help you
with your first steps.
***** UPGRADE *****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====*****=====
Install new version in the directory, which contains old version of WMM.
WMM.INI file will not be deleted. If you want to preserve the tagline
file, rename it, it should not be TAGLINE.TXT (TAGLINE.TXT will be
copied to disk when installing). When you run WMM, go to Options|General
and Options|Replies and set new options. You HAVE TO go to both menus
and press OK button in both windows, because some changes have to be done!!

My fidonet and internet address are written in Help|About. If you have
any questions or problems, you can contact me.
