Alpenglow is an Internet and CD-ROM development company located in
Woodinville, Washington. We have been in business since 1993, developing
and producing family-oriented multimedia CD-ROM titles and Internet web sites.
Hybrid Technologies & Business Partners
We are now weaving the CD-ROM and Internet medias even more tightly.
Current partnerships with Packard Bell Interactive, Ark Interface,
Alaska Internet Travel Guide and David Anderson Safaris involve
CD-ROM/Internet hybrid products which create bridges between the
Internet and customer based software and hardware. These bridges allow
our partners to circumvent Internet bandwidth restraints and bring
more dynamic media components to their Internet message. They allow
our partners to extend, refresh or modify retail software products
residing on customer�s systems.
Internet & Microsoft
It was natural for us to begin transporting our CD-ROM multimedia content
expertise to the Internet. We began by experimenting with leading edge
Internet technology in the creation of our Alpenglow site.
Microsoft soon invited us to become an Official Web Partner and requested
that we showcase Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 browser and ActiveX
technology in our newest site, OnSafari.com. This web site is the
quintessential example of how Internet Explorer 3.0 and Alpenglow have
narrowed the gap between interactive multimedia CD-ROMs and what was
previously possible on the Internet.

Cd-Rom Development
Our CD-ROM titles focus on topics that explore wildlife, travel, adventure,
people and their history and cultures from all corners of the world. Alpenglow
combines the artistry, creativity and insights of leading authors, photographers,
cinematographers and experts with interactive multimedia technology. The results
are entertaining and informative titles that enrich the lives of audiences of
all ages as Alpenglow takes people on interactive, multi-dimensional journeys.
Safari, our award winning title on the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya,
Africa, is distributed on personal computers sold by Acer America in 1995/96/97
and is published by Cambrix Publishing. Our CD-ROM titles have had retail
distribution in over 15 countries world wide and have been translated into
French by Ubi Soft and Italian by Jackson Libri. Please visit our
