The MantaDB Web Tool

Using MantaDB to Stop Pop-Up Windows

Pop-Up windows are those little advertising windows that appear when browsing the pages of some Web sites. A few Web sites really over do it sending those banners up in an annoying way for every page viewed. MantaDB can intercept and cancel these Pop-Up windows before they appear.

The Stop Pop-Ups button provides a way to tell MantaDB that you wish to intercept and cancel these windows. This feature is easy to use. Simply click the Stop Pop-Ups button in the MantaDB toolbar displayed in the Internet Explorer main window.

Note: Occasionally, if the Web site launches more than one Pop-Up window in quick succession MantaDB might miss it and fail to cancel it. This should happen very infrequently - usually only on the first load of a page with frames. The Pop-Up killing behavior of each browser session can be set individually. If you wish to start MantaDB with the Stop Pop-Ups feature enabled check the option on the Page Handling Options tab of the configuration dialog box.
