Episode #1: "The Wedding Reception"

Every one of the 500 guests agreed it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. And now the reception, held at Francesca's estate, Rancho Del Amuso, was being spoken of by those same guests as the most fun and unique party they had ever attended. The theme was the opening scene from the movie "The Godfather", and the band played the same Italian-style music from the film. Not just an ordinary modern rock combo, but a real "Big Band", like the one in the movie. Francesca always did things with style, no matter what the cost. The topper was when Al Martino, who played Johnny Fontaine in The Godfather, arrived just as he did in the picture, wearing the same tuxedo, and singing the same song. Then, even the few at the reception who were whispering about how silly it seemed stopped their complaining and started enjoying themselves.
The wine and champagne flowed like water, and everyone was getting 'faced. It was the wedding of Antonio and Cathie, Francesca's oldest and dearest friend. Francesca, for two years now the world's second richest woman, was paying for it all, for she loved Cathie as though she were her own sister.
The ceremony was conducted by Reverend Gregory , a friend of the family who was perhaps imbibing a bit too much at the reception, and laughing a little too loudly. Beside him at his table was a female TV star who had been in the news recently for her admitting to being a lesbian. But Reverend Gregory knew better.
Steve, Francesca's older brother, was passed out, lying on his back on a table just to one side of the bandstand. No one who looked at him could keep from laughing out loud, because he looked so cute with that big grin on his face. They didn't move him. Nobody was embarrassed by him. It was obvious he was having as good a time as anybody at the reception, so they just let him lie there. Occasionally one of the ladies would come over and plant a sloppy kiss on his face, but his eyes never opened, and his grin never left his face. It was only after the band and most of the guests had left that he was carried up to his room by Francesa's servants, still smiling.
Outside the gates of the mansion were the reporters, eager to get a story and videotape of the event, for not only was it being held by world famous celebrity Francesca Cicci-Lorenz, but it was being held at her new mansion, the Heaven's Gate "Mansion of Death"!
