A New York-based writer/editor, Daniel Kline has written his "Not A Step" column for over two years. The 25-year-old Kline started the column because of what he considers the severe lack of quality, humorous opinion writers in his age bracket.

Kline draws material from his everyday life and occasionally steals good jokes from his friends, most of whom do not write syndicated humor columns.

Kline lives with his girlfriend in a suburb of New York City and has no children (though the couple is contemplating a cat). Not a Step appears weekly in "The Daily Evening Item," a leading afternoon print daily in Eastern Massachusetts.
