[About The Guide]
Error Reading Configuration Info from Removable Disk.
Occurs on: 68, 86, and 286.
Meaning: This error will be displayed if the server cannot read from
track 0 of a removable volume to get the disk configuration
tables. This is not a fatal error but the removable disk will
not be mounted.
Cause: This error occurs if the disk is not formatted for NetWare or
not configured properly, if the disk related hardware is not
working properly, or if a disk error is encountered on track 0
of the removable disk.
Solution: Use the SYSED utility to check the disk and related hardware
and to verify the installation information. If the disk has
not been formatted for NetWare or if a disk error has been
encountered, run the COMPSURF utility. Use the INSTALL
utility to reinstall the operating system and then restore
the files from a backup if required.
