Education vs. Cost

Many current tools are complex and along with the fact that they do not support the organization's process, this creates a steep learning curve for the users. There is also no immediate "use" or gain from the tools. For example the world wide web is very easy to learn (it is actually fun) and someone can gain useful help/information immediately. Tools are too expensive to have all these drawbacks. Some anecdotal evidence was offered to indicate that a set of smaller compatible tools is more successful that a large/complex tool. Not only is the learning curve less steep but it allows an incremental cost/ management strategy.
