Gorrión marrón con bandas blancas y negras en la cabeza y llamativa garganta blanca. Tamaño: 15 cm.; peso: 25-31 g. Audio 2 (M. Oberle). Anida en el noreste de los Estados Unidos y el sur de Canadá, invernando en el sureste de los Estados Unidos. Accidental en Puerto Rico (San Juan, 15 de enero y 16 de febrero de 1971) frecuentando áreas costeras, pastizales con arbustos y jardines. TAXONOMÍA: PASSERIFORMES; EMBERIZIDAE |
